Venue: Stradey Park, Llanelli Date: Saturday, 10 May Kick-off: 1730 BST

Llanelli Scarlets are without their Wales training squad members for their final game of the season.

Acting coach Paul Moriarty has teenager Daniel Evans at full-back, with Simon Easterby and Jon Edwards on the flanks.

Edinburgh have Hugo Southwell back, the Scotland full-back having missed the Ospreys win due to family commitments.

Allan Jacobsen returns as a replacement after two months out with a groin injury, Craig Hamilton and Mark Robertson also back on the bench.

Ross Rennie (knee), Simon Cross (lower back), John Houston (head knock), Andrew Kelly (calf), Gavin Kerr (neck), Roland Reid (hamstring), Craig Smith (calf) and Simon Webster (hamstring) are still out.

Edinburgh have won their last four in the league, are undefeated in Wales this season, and a victory would give them their best ever Magners finish.

The Scarlets have lost their last four matches, but know that their visitors have triumphed just once at Stradey Park.

Scarlets skipper Simon Easterby - who has been plagued by injury and has hinted that he may give up the captaincy next season - says his side are determined to finish a disappointing year on a high.

"It's been a frustrating season, we've struggled in a lot of areas," said the Ireland flanker.

"As players our standards have dropped and our win ratio has been very poor. We need to go into the summer with something positive behind us"

"We've got the most losing points in the Magners League, but that's no good to anyone as we need to be winning those games.

"We've got to make sure we are in the game in the last quarter and go on to win."

Moriarty added: "This is a great chance for the younger guys to come in and take the lead.

"This game may not count for anything but we need to go into the summer with something positive behind us."

29-12 - a good result for Embra, even if it is an end of season fixture.

Does anyone know when the last time both scottish sides won away fixtures on the same weekend on 2 consecutive weeks?

Hasn't the news of Leinster's championship win reached Scotland yet?

What are you on about? [/b][/quote]

I would guess he is suggesting no results matter any more since the league is decided...

... but in that case, surley the Scottish sides should be praised for trying to keep the leagues credibility (along with Leinster and the Dragons, who served up and exciting, free-flowing game last night) by actually playing until the end.

I was really impressed with Edinburgh today, clinical in attack and rock solid in defence despite Llanelli having possession for a great deal of the 2nd half. Shame to let in a try at the end but I suppose the Scarlets deserved it, if only for their efforts at the breakdown (I counted at least 6 turnovers there).

Definitely, and shame on those who didn't.

fair play to Edinburgh, they were really good yesterday. kinda wierd thing to hear that Edinburgh haven't lost on Welsh soil this year (beat the Blues and Ospreys by a point both times, drew with the Dragons and thumped the Scarlets), but still they've deserved every win. Just shows how much the Scottish sides have improved from last season. So well done, hope to see someone representing Scotland in the HC quarters next year!
