Especially Hosea Gear.. Despite delivering tries by the truckload he has never really been given the opportunity to show if he is a flat track bully or the real deal at test level. And no, you can not say he has had and blown his opportunity after under 100 minutes of All Black rugby

LOL

Already had my go but if I could go with players without a test cap:
Guthro Steenkamp
Tiaan Liebenberg
WP Nel
Danie Rossouw / Nathan Hines
Nathan Sharpe
Juan Smith
Thierry Dusautoir
Ernst Joubert
Jano Vermaak
James Hook / Francois Trin-Duhc
Hosea Gear
Christian Leleafano / Doppies La Grange
Isaia Toeava
Digby Iaone
Stefan Terblanche

Hosea Gear is of international class but if he was to play at international level I think he might have to play for another country. You never know with Graham Henry and co. they just might pick him out of the blue but when you look at Gears good form during the super 14 and the NZ Maori games you'd think they would have picked him already. Their has been a few All Black wingers in this tri-nations so far with Cory Jane, Joe Rococoko, Israel Dagg, Richard Kahui and Rene Ranger all played well their too. Lets not forget Sitiveni Sivivatu and Zac Guildford.

Yep the All Blacks are spoilt for wingers at the moment I'd love to see Gear there also, if only Henry gave Hosea as many tests as he gave brother Rico. I know it wont happen but if Hosea did play for another country he'd be great but not just any other country imagine him at the end of a Wallabies backline move...

I don't see him ending moves as much as setting them up.

Well he is a winger they can but dont normally set tries up, hopefully the 1st five, 2nd five, centre and fullback can take care of the setting up. However he does take a bit of work to put him down and every now and then he pops out an offload so he can set up.

He does score tries so he can definately end moves, some tries are his own brilliance others are of slick back line moves like the ones in the Maori tests.

I know Ive asked you before if your sure about something (remember the burger eye gouge you said was a push stormer2010??) but are you sure were talking about the same person??.. Hosea Gear Hurricanes winger??..

This really depends whether we are talking underrated by coaches, or by the general public. For example Hosea Gear is probably underrated by coaches, but is overrated by the general public!

No idea about the front row, because, really, with the exception of Gethin Jenkins and Andrew Sheridan, which front-rowers are really rated highly? But I'll do the rest of the team anyway. Obvsiouly, there's a bit of a Welsh tinge to it, because I'm hardly an expert on two-or-three cap Springboks.

4. Kellock
5. Charteris
6. Ferris
7. Pocock (Not really sure how he's seen in Oz, though. Certainly not as celebrated as McCaw or Burger or even George Smith intenrtionally, though.)
8. Erm, Joe Bearman?

9. Cusiter
10. Stephen Jones
11. Gear
12. Andrew Bishop
13. Smith
14. Halfpenny
15. Barry Davis (How he's only got one cap is beyond me.)

Yeah, I don't mean setting up tries from set play but creating something from nothing if given the smallest bit of room to accellerate; mainly on counter attcking, fielding at the back etc.

NP, I'm not always too accurate with the Anglo. Yeah, I know Gear is top class; been watching S14 and the NZ Maori games. Had him last year while I was playing fantasy rugby as well. He is incredible on attack. I guess Henry and co don't rate his defence or cover at the back? Well, if that were the case one could argue that Rocks or Sivivatu shouldn't get picked as well. But if you thought your coaches' selections baffleing at times be glad you're not a Bok supporter.

Oh Im a big fan of the Springboks, Wallabies, English, French, Welsh, Ireland and Pumas. I might not know a lot of the new names for the european and Argentine sides but I enjoy watching each of those countries play, especially when they're hot. I do like the All Blacks its hard to not like them when they play good rugby and Im always travelling back and fourth from NZ to Samoa. However my favourite team is the Manu Samoa, we might not win the world cup next year but ah.......we will hahaha.

But yeah the Boks I always have time for especially in the tri-nations, I love the tri-nations. End of year tours IMO are ok but not as fun to watch as the tri-nations, if the six nations are hot then the end of year tours are enjoyable games to watch thats my opinion anyway.

Definitely James Hook (or Nicky Robinson; I always liked the guy) for 10, I don't see how Stephen Jones has kept his spot for the past two years.
Can't comment about the lesser-known SH players, so I'll leave it with that.

I don't see how Hook is underrated, by now he is most definatley rated.
