Memorable Rugby Player Performances

That Nonu break in South Africa to lead to a Dagg last second try. Hearing (or not hearing) that DEAD silent crowd was eery. The All black forward pack for that 19-0 (never to be repeated between the tri nations team on home soil) pantsing for the first time ever in 3n and SA rugby history to be beaten scoreless at home.

- Dan Carter 2005 against the Lions. Wow.
- Richie McCaw in Sydney in 2006 or 2007 (the one where he tore his jersey).

There are mroe but struggle to remember exact games. :)

You forgot the 2 50 pointers and the 42 - 7 drubbing you gave us as well plus those many come back victories over the years.

Joel Stransky drop goal.
Habana for the Baba's against NZ
Habana 2 tries vs Australia.
James Dalton completing the comeback from 24-5 down vs NZ.
Most of Christian Cullens tries
The Bulls smashing the Chiefs in the final and Habana's tries.
Ray Mordt vs NZ
Richard Bands try vs New Zealand
That naked Freestater who tackled FC Smit at the Freestate Stadion saving a try and ****** me of yet made fall on my back with laughter.

You mean 40-7 last year? I don't really count that as like half the team was back in SA lol.

I forgot Francois Steyn in Hamilton, 2009 - 60m+ FGs in non-high altitude!?!?

Will Genia vs ABs in Brisbane 2011.
Matt Giteau vs NZ in losing performances from 2008 till he was dropped too early. That guy was magic for the Wallabies and pretty much singlehandedly kept them in games.

Steyn got a mutant boot. He made a mockery of the Schools rugby fields. How about that 55 metre penalty kick from Marcello Bosch in the WC quarters vs NZ where he took 2 steps back and whoops between the post like he was 10 meters away.

Giteau was born a year or 3 too early. He was the next Larkham.

Talking about half backs how about that George Gregan try saving tackle on Jeff Wilson to deny NZ the Bledisloe Cup and a comeback from 17-0 down I think.

Another one was that game where the Pumas had like 80000 people in that Stadium in Buenos Aires and were beaten by a last minute try where they lost the game by 2 points. They had us almost as well where we scored a last minute try to beat them at as well. And their two games against France in 2007 where they beat the host nation in both games.

Steyn is insane. That guy could get paid at NFL level JUST for his kicking skills. Would be an excellent all around special teamer, and a kicker that can actually tackle and run (as opposed to kickers that are just lucky to be abel to tackle once or twice). He could easily get paid in the Top 10 of paid kickers (base salary of $2.5million USD with an equal signing bonus).

Giteau was elsuive and knew how and when to hit the holes. He was Dan Carter lite (literally, the little fella) for a while there. Then suddenly, Quade is the better player? I don't think so.

Can't wait for the RC this year. It's been a long time coming for the Argentines to get a fair shake at rugby. Would not be surprised for them to get a couple of wins.

Would love the Pacfics to get in on it at some point as well.
