This section of the site is a resource for new modders coming in and getting up to speed with the EA Rugby Series which currently offers two games, EA Sports Rugby 06 and EA Sports Rugby 08, both for PC CD-ROM.
Below you can find tutorials to how mod the game, and will feature the differrnt aspects of what is involved to get your mod into the game. For any questions, please see the Q&A / FAQ thread.
Graphic editing software:
Adobe Photoshop (recommended versions are: CSx series, Elements)
GIMP (Info abut GIMP here)
File Import/Export software:
BigGUI (used for EA's .big files)
FSHed (used for EA's .fsh files)
FSHed Graphics importer plug-in (allows you to use .psd, .png etc)
DOLFFIN (used to view the .fsh files inside a .big file and also same actions as FSHed)
Woosaah Rugasmic Editor 08 (for editing the rosters/squads and other data for Rugby 08)
Specialist Programs:
O-Edit (Allows you to edit the o.files of EA games. I used for cyberfaces)
Ditty Importer (allows you to add music to EA games)
XVI32 (Hex editor for certain text files)
Miscellaneous:
Fraps (to take screenshots and video from the game)
