Mouritz Botha at Sharks

Anyone have an idea why the Sharks drafted in Mouritz Botha ? It's not like he can play for the Springboks at the World Cup this year. He already has 10 England caps.

Mates with John Smit from his Sarries days and then also injuries at lock for the Sharks is all I can imagine. I mean, I know PSdT is back but a player returning from long injury lay-off is always a question mark and then also injured are front liners Oosthuizen and Lewies as injuries with the Marais brothers having moved to France. I think he is more fo a temp stop-gap than anything else.

He might have been but these guys just aren't up to the pace. They are new to the systems, old, not used to the pace of SR and one can't really blame them as they are more cover than front line players but it's showing.
