NH Rugby Transfers

Looks almost certain that Phil Vickery is leaving Gloucester, in another case of a player demanding high wages without proving their fitness (*cough* Tindall). Wasps looks a likely destination, but it's just a strong rumour right now.

Munster's young backrow forward Eoghan Grace will play this season's rugby with English Premiership side Exeter Chiefs.<!-- {/abstract} -->

The 22 year old Grace has been released from his Munster contract (academy) to pursue a season's rugby with the newly promoted English side. Eoghan leaves with Munster's best wishes on a one year deal that management believe will help in the development of his professional rugby career.
Speaking about the move Munster coach Tony McGahan said "Eoghan is undoubtedly a player of immense potential as evidenced at AIL and British & Irish Cup level last season. However we believe it to be in his best interests at this stage of his development to pursue this offer from Exeter Chiefs, where the prospect of regular rugby at premiership level will prove hugely beneficial."

Some inter-code switching:
Ian Thornley from Wigan Warriors to Sale Sharks

Dafydd Jones (this is rumoured) is off to Crusaders RL

I do apologise, i remember reading it this morning before work (at 5am) so everything's a little fuzzy :p

I think I would panic if it was Dafydd Jones ... James is washed up and a move to the Crusaders would be for easy pay.

Agreed, James has no future (at high levels anyway) in Union so a league move seems logical. It's a shame as I thought James was a good player, even though he apparentley had an attitude problem.

Well he is like 35. Would be quite disappointed if it had been Daf Jones.

Dafydd James had a few good years, he played well on the '01 Lions tour.
Should make some good money for a season or two up north, so I can't blame him.

Can't deny when he was at his peak he was flipping good.

Nathan Brew's joined his brother Aled at the Dragons. It was on the BBC teletext yesterday, but was removed, and isn't on the website. Perhaps the Dragons don't want it out yet?

Where did Bristol prefer to play Nathan?
If true, it will be good to have another wing/centre backup, especially with Fussell gone.

Nathan Brew was very average for Neath this season ... be a step backwards I feel.

He didn't play much for us, and when he did I think he was used at a 13 and wing but not a lot.
