You are not fair in your or other's comments. I see no warnings to those who are rude. You are also instrumental in changing topics in threads. It is actually rather childish. Mate, this kinda shows that you do not get the whole idea of Lions Tours at all! It's not a case of the best of 4 Nations becoming an uber-team by default, they have to gel as a team, combinations have to be discovered and the right balance has to be made. The Lions have a month to train together and to try to create the best XV out of their squad, which is a much harder task than what the home nation has to deal with! They should know what their best XV is, and who would be the best replacement if someone is injured, and more importantly, the majority will know their team-mates inside out since they'd have played alongside them for a long time. The simple fact is, a team who has been playing together for a long time has more of a chance of winning than a team that hasn't, even if it is a star studded one.
One of the best examples of this is when Australia beat the Barbarians 18 - 11 in 2008. Barbarians played one hell of a team, full of some of the best players from the world, and had players like Shane Williams to call on from the bench. Here's the team if you want to have a look (back row is especially beast!):
Barbarians: Percy Montgomery (SA); Joe Rokocoko (NZ), Rico Gear (NZ), Jean de Villiers (SA), Bryan Habana (SA); Francois Steyn (SA), Fourie du Preez (SA); Richie McCaw (NZ), Schalk Burger (SA), Jerry Collins (NZ); Johann Muller (SA), Bakkies Botha (SA); Census Johnston (Sam), John Smit (SA, capt), Federico Pucciariello (Ita).
Replacements used: Rodney Blake (Aus), Shane Williams (Wal), Chris Jack (NZ), Nick Koster (SA) *Uncapped, Ollie Smith (Eng), Mark Regan (Eng), George Gregan (Aus).
Australia on the other hand had lost to Wales in Cardiff 4 days earlier, and played a couple of young-guns for this one, here's their team:
Australia: James O'Connor; Lote Tuqiri, Ryan Cross, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Digby Ioane; Quade Cooper, Brett Sheehan; Richard Brown, George Smith (c), Dean Mumm; Hugh McMeniman, Mark Chisholm; Matt Dunning, Tatafu Polota-Nau, Sekope Kepu.

The Babaa's team on paper was far better that the Aussie one, but the Australian defence was very organised and simply held the Babaas back who were not used to playing together! A scratch team of stars will ALWAYS be at a dis-advantage to an organised team that is used to each other.
And like hell was '97 a hollow tour victory! The '97 tourists were written off by the British and South African media, they weren't really expected to win any of the tests. A South African sports magazine even said they were there win friends more than matches!

Well, go read my first few posts on this thread. I understand that scratch teams are tricky and hence I have said that I want to see a sratch team from both Hemispheres take eachother on. They must both have the same time to prepare as a team. I want to see the best players in the world vs. the best! NOT the Best in the NH vs. a Test Nation. That is just me and the idea of B Lions playing the best SH team stemmed from that. Just had some chaps arguing but getting "owned"!

Alright, this is great. I was tempted to make a forum thread of "How long does SavageLes have before Bullit bans him?", but I ended up thinking twice about it.
I think having a go at Bullit was a bad move in the first place Les, as Bullit is not just the owner, but TRFies Best General Poster, who posts more than any other member. I don't think this is a battle you have any chance of winning and/or getting much support...if I was you I'd focus on a new admin like Olyy to pick a fight with, he's too nice to destroy you...(I could be wrong).
Anyway, I'd go easy on SavageLes, he's not Scottish, he's not informed and based off his attacks on Bullit, he's not too bright. But there are more malicious posters out there than this poor, silly, identity confused poster.

I wanted to know people thoughts with regards to seeing the best players from the Southern Hemisphere playing a 3 match SERIES against the Northern Hemisphere?
Conclusion: Not many people are keen on the idea of seeing the best players in the world against eachother!
