Actually, did the score line reflect the match or were those four tries at the end glorifying the Northampton performance?

How'd Keatley play?

It's Unlike Hugh Farelly to preduce anything demented!

Guess I can only rely on Gerry Thornly now!

It was an average performance, but their one breakaway try aside, Conchanananananaanat never looked the slighest bit threatening and were monstered by the fatties. It was only a combination of their disruptive (damage limitation) tactics and sloppy Saints handling which kept the scoreline even remotly close.

Heroics, there certainly were not. Comments as "Connacht dominated the first half, when they were the only team trying to play rugby." couldn't be further from the truth. Hugh Farrelly either wasn't there or had far too much Guinness.

To be honest no one expected anything except for a convincing Saints win. The fact that they stayed with them for so long is a credit to them. If the press were to over dramatise their performance, well why not. It usually depends on what side of the fence your sitting on. With Connaught we (Irish fans) all look for a little romance as they are everyones underdog, they always have been. Year after year they remain underfunded, understaffed, undersupported and underappreciated.

I like what they are doing. I like they way they are building and they certainly are building.

quoting the Indo is a bit like someone in the UK quoting the daily mail plus Farrelly's an idiot.

Romain Poite was the referee, so the result should be void and the fixture should be replayed with a proper official.

Anyway, what I heard is Connacht (and I promise the neg rep the next person the spell Connacht the wrong way with the ght, that wrecks my head) were unable to live with the likes of Best and Downey battering them, Northampton were just too physical.

Interesting too know Kidney was there, can you imagine Eddie going to a game like this? Hopefully that will increase the Likes of Best, Keatley, Wilson, Murphy, Downey and Muldoon's Irish chances. I hear Kidney will be coaching the Churchill cup side this summer as well which is very good news.

That piece is a bit embarrassing though, reminds me of what the Welsh were writing about the Ospreys last week. "No One would argue that James Hook has more talent in his bay finger than Ronan O'Gara has in his entire body"

Where exactly did you see 'us Welsh' write that? <_<

You have a big rant about people spelling Conacht wrongly, threatening to neg rep them, then you go and claim that all Welsh people believe Hook is still brilliant. All I've read from fellow Welsh posters is how sh*t Hook has been lately, and how he doesn't deserve to be on the Lions plane etc. etc.

Probably saw something in the Western Mail by Andy Howells and thought it must be true for all Welshmen <_<

Should have said Welsh media, sorry (I was comparing our rugby writers to some of the Welsh rugby writers I read last week). And I think it was the Western Mail actually, not that the name of the paper means anything to me, but I take it that the western mail is one of those not worth the paper it's printed on "news"papers? Anyway, sorry for any offence I have caused to the people of Wales.

The Western Mail is a pile of garbage.
Read up any Andy Howell article and count how many times he refers to the Ospreys as "The Galacticos of Welsh rugby," and players like Henson, Hook, Byrne and Shane as "superstars"....

You'd be there for a while.

Rumours are that Howell's secretly dates Mike Phillips, would explain why he backs Phillips to matter what he has done. When he plays crap for Wales or even that incident in Cardiff a few months ago Howell was saying it was unfair to pick on Mike!

No probs. Lol at Speedy's comment about Howells, he has a very limited vocabulary, doesn't he?
