French international outside back Alexis Palisson will leave the European champions at the end of the season, according to reports in the local press.
The 26-year-old, who started on the wing for France in 2011 World Cup Final, is frustrated by his lack of game time at Toulon.
Palisson has started just four of Toulon's 16 league games in the Top 14 this season and has featured in just two Heineken Cup games with Delon Armitage or Drew Mitchell preferred at full-back and the likes of Rudi Wulf, Bryan Habana and David Smith usually starting on the wings.
With Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny expected to sign in the coming days, Palisson could slide another notch down the pecking order.
Since arriving at Toulon from Brive, Palisson has seen his international prospects nose dive, with his last Test appearance dating back to the 2012 Six Nations clash against Wales.
As a result, the talented back has decided to opt out of his contract, which was set to run until June 2015, according to Provence newspaper.
Both Stade Français and Castres are believed to be interested in his services, with his status as a product of a French academy particularly attractive in light of France's new rules concerning overseas players.
