PREM 25/26 - Round 3

Anyone watching the Bristol game know why the high shot by Feyi-Waboso wasn't penalised? Everyone in ground perplexed.
Both players going for a ball, when Bristol players got it there was no way to pull out. It wasn't a tackle. I thought mitigation to YC, but I see both angles to be honest.

The Jordan red was clear

It was though. He clearly completed a tackle.

Ref ruined game.
Both going for ball last second one gets it. As I said I'd be happy with it as a tackle with mitigation. So YC but also see what the ref said, defo not red in that situation. Jordan was a very very different shot.

Not at all.

Inconsistencies are ridiculous.
You serious? Both head shots but Vincent with a hard carry and Jordan was upright leading with shoulder?

Bobbling ball available for both players and 1 player gets it first, with no time they clash heads, if deemed a tackle (as he did wrap the arms but didn't set up for a tackle) then, again red mitigated to yellow.

The symmetry breaker here for me is the carry vs both players going for a loose ball.

Personally I have no complaints on the Jordan red, it's a high shot with very little to mitigate it down (doesn't get low, high force and can see the player coming). Roles reversed and we'd be wanting the red to be given if it's an Exeter player making a tackle like that.

The IFW/Carrington incident is, to me, an unlucky accident, both players are going for a loose ball and the contact couldn't be helped and it's just our luck it's taken one of our better players this season out for the rest of the game.

Gutted to lose this one as we put alot of pressure on at their line and had the try/YC disallowed then messed up the lineout allowing them. Out and we didn't get another chance. A 1 point loss is gutted but we are still a building. A good performance overall but not good enough.

Bristol/Exeter was the sort of game that, if you only saw the score, you'd think the conditions must have been awful. Very gritty, tough win. Huge improvement defensively, but never really got anything going in attack, which, at risk of sounding like an excuse, is not surprising given the absenteeees and game situation, playing a good portion of which with 3 scrum halves on the field in various positions during the game.
