Premiership Rugby 23/24 - Rd 1

Sarries biggest ever defeat (according to Wikipedia, at least) is 60-10

Looking like that might fall at this rate

Bath starting to get into their stride a little.
Falling down a couple of times with simple unfamiliarity.

Sheesh, wasn't expecting this scoreline when I turned on
Nor was i.

Half time stats are pretty insane.

327 - 69 metres made
30 - 46 Tackles
5 - 18 missed tackles
10 - 0 clean breaks is insane.
Yet kicks are almost the same
7 tries only 3 conversions. If skinner is a worse kicker than Slade id be shocked

Bath actually trying to attack :)

Pity about our discipline - both in not offending and defensive positioning

Try for Sarries, YC for Chiefs. That sucks. Good to see how we cope though.

4 minutes later, Finn gets his first involvement - great cover tackle to prevent a try.

Almost immediately gets his 2nd touch to clear the line.

This is obviously what we signed him for!

Perfect timing turning on the Bath game, just as they all go down the tunnel for halftime

His first actual move, and a try is scored.
Which is the TBP for Bath on the stroke of HT

Hopefully won't be seeing Finn trot out straight after HT though (he's on for an HIA to MOjoh)

Just in time for the replays.

Some beautiful work by Coka and Dunn to set up 2nd and 3rd tries.

Hodge and Feyi-Wobosi are both rapid, so great to be outside a playmaker like Slade.

Should also say - hats off to the groundskeeper after the way that pitch cut up last weekend, and is (so far) withstanding the challenge today.

This isn't even that bad of a Saracens side, other than 2, 7 and 10 it's pretty damn solid, and it's not like Goode's never played 10 before

Would like to see that tackle on Radwan again, that replay looked like he got the ball away before he went into touch so likely would've been a Newcastle try based on the line the support runner ran

Edit: Ben Spencer is so good

Wow, wow, wow

I know Spencer's the kicker, but I'd have given that one to Finn after that run
