I was at the Leinster game. Madigan shone. Passed, ran, kicked and tackled really well. He's improved massively in the last few seasons. I really believe Joe Schmidt's decision to remove kicking responsibilities from him last year benefited him hugely. It allowed him concentrate on improving all other aspects of his game. Once he showed he was very capable in those regards, he was given a confidence boost by becoming first choice goalkicker whenever Sexton is absent. His stats at over 80% are excellent. Richie Murphy deserves a ton of credit for the work he's done with all of Leinster's place kickers. Sexton, Madigan, McFadden, Nacewa and Reid are all very competent in that regard.
