How did they end up with so many stars? Even the bench is full of them, why don't these bench stars go to a club where they would be guaranteed a starting position? Isn't there a salary cap in Spain?

Yeah its weird ay.
Raul, Beckham, Ronaldo, Owen, to name a few.

There's no salary cap in football or soccer.

With all their stars the Real won nothing last season. They were very good until April and collapsed after that. The point was that it was allways the same guys playing on the field, Raùl, Zidane, Beckham, Figo... They had no full back.

These same players arrived exhausted at the Eurocup and none of them played well.

We will see this season but at the moment it seems that their defense will still be weak.

Real will be a force this season. Without question. These superstars will sit on the bench Gay Guy, basically because even being linked with a move to Real is an honour in football.

Real should be strong again this season, especially as they've bolstered their defence with Sagnol and Woodgate(when he's fit).

No salary Cap? Wow...to be a professional soccer player

Where did Woodgate come from? Is he an international and for whom?

Woodgate's an English international, came from Newcastle via Leeds. Exceptional player, when fit probably England's best central defender, but that's a rarity in itself.

Woodgate and Samuel (not Sagnol!) at the back will make them 50% better than last year. Then all the 'galacticos' ahead of them will be allowed to play.Right joke in their first game, Mallorca hadnt cut the grass on their pitch for ages, it was abot 2" long, to prevent Madrid from passing it about freely!!

Nah, Sol Cambell and John Terry all the way.

Woodgate when fit is as good as Campbell or Terry, you wouldn't be left short if Woodgate replaced either of them.

When Woodgate and Terry played together in a game before Euro 2004, Sweden away I think it was, they were brilliant together.
