I am currently studying at Sheffield Hallam University and in my final year. My dissertation is on public perception of rugby league and union.

Ye 1898 is seen as where it went professional but when it split in 1895 it was over "broken time payments" which involved workers from factories getting payment for missing their work to play the game.
