It’s not. The onus is on the players to be aware that the game can start at any time. It wasn’t time for a break or water break. You got to play to the whistle. My point is that it’s game on and try. Come World Cup time it happens again and it’ll be more costly. And us England fans will be whinging to god know when and every other team will be laughing at us.

The point is that it was time for a water break, and the ref can’t just decide when time is back on, any more than he can say that you can pass forward.

The restart of a game is a important part of it play is stopped for numerous reasons throughout a match. If you can't trust the ref to get that right there's no point the game becomes a complete farce.

And people said our game was boring (it was to be fair). Two good teams going at, but not high quality now.
