Scotland have played a lot better than against Ireland, but still not great. Made to look a lot better by an awful Samoa performance.
 
Shame coz Samoa used to be on the cusp of where Fiji now are!
 
Definitely a penalty try... but does anyone else think the double whammy of penalty try plus yellow is a bit over the top? Should be one or the other.

Absolutely not a penalty try is given for committing an offence that stops a certain try. The only negative can't be to get the try you would of been given either way.

If you only give a penalty try is there even a punishment. I mean it's a guaranteed 7 instead of a 5 plus the chance of the kick. If you don't yellow card someone for a penalty try, what's the incentive for not committing the offense? They are gonna score anyway.
