Completely different. He was developed in England. You see the RFU actually spend money only developing their youth pool, not on paying scouts to raid other countries' systems.

I think its pretty clear scotland have made a marked effort to improve their development systems, ton of players have come through glasgows academy of late, they have a new bridging system that gregor and co coached in january and hired nucifora to improve it further.

I do wonder if people have less issues with Tom Jordan than the granny gang then if the issue is down to development? Naturalised sure and no birth ties, but that guy had no future in rugby in new zealand, no real academy and no county or pro team was even sniffing him, he went to the super 6 and started mediocre and got better year on year, there is a real argument for the player he is being developed in scotland even if it didnt happen as a kid.

Not much info around on whether it’s a 7 or 12 day stand down for Finn, Darcy is definitely a 12.

Whether or not training much before Twickenham is a big deal or not I’m not sure. Feel like we can cover the wing more comfortably that we can at 10.

The thing is Finn passed the HIA but the medics felt he wasn't right and so recommended he didn't return to play. They deserve a lot of credit for putting player welfare first and also Townsend for following their advice and not overruling them which some other head coaches might have been tempted to do.

I'm not sure what the stand down period would be in such circumstances. It does raise questions about the effectiveness of the HIA. though. If he's out of Twickenham then I imagine Jordan starts at 10 with Kinghorn as backup and Rowe on the bench to cover the back 3.

Technically Finn is not under any stand down if he passed the HIA. Medical always override management if only because of liability.

Graham on the other hand should clear his stand down with one day to spare.

Either way I expect both are being monitored closely.

Do we know that he passed the HIA2 & HIA3?

From what I've read, I'm not sure if it's a delayed-onset of 'normal' symptoms, or atypical symptoms (long term memory vs short term)

it's nonsense. Nobody is losing support for Scotland because of Duhan van der Merwe. If anything he's bringing in support. Our pathways are ****** and everyone knows it, that is the sole reason why we were crap for years and it's the sole reason we're bringing in players. SRU seemingly has no real plan to fix the pathways, so we're probably going to remain in mediocrity.

Well fellow jocksters once again we are on the losing end of the result. Some good performances and a bit of a reaction following the Ireland pumping was good to see.

Bit concerned around the scrum, don’t think Schoeman is at his best just now and zander was ok rather than standout.

Back row had a decent shift, think we desperately need to sort out the locks it’s just not inspiring me at the moment.

Place kicks aside Russell was decent against England I thought, some are trying to make hay from the fact he could slot the wining kick but he sent out some superb passes. The centres were all good, Jordan got a decent showing and Jones did jones things well.

Wales is going to be a sterner test than previously expected, have to tighten up a lot of things.

We sent Tom Jordan on a lot of crash balls, he's about 10kegs too light and 2 inches too tall for that at this level. Sorely missing the size of Cummings in carrying and at scrum time.

It was our game to lose, and we lost it! I think we'll beat Wales though.
