He deserves it and has been a very hard worker for Australia, scrum woes at International level aside. He certainly has a high work rate typically, and makes a lot of tackles for a prop. Folau, Hooper, and Ashley Cooper (sounds like a nursery rhyme) would have been worthy winners too. While he plays his guts out, I'm not sure if Hooper is captaincy material at Int level at this stage in his career. And while an awesome talent, there are a lot of conventional fullback plays that Folau could improve on.
