Not a bad shout.I’ll therefore go for somewhere in the middle. Scotland to be neck and neck at HT with that maybe extending up to 65min but SA to win by 14 come FT.
38-24
@Demfad Advocating for a Boks red card because Kriel doesn’t play for the Bulls. Not a bad shout.
Don’t worry, Wales will do the NH proud by wrapping up the game next week by HT.Great effort by Scotland, just not to be.
So it’s the refs fault? If Scotland had got the lead they should have got they could have pulled away. Eg If they get a try at 14-14.
They did allow SA too easily pad out that purple patch. At altitude the defenses can weaken and we saw the Boks tire with multi line breaks by Scotland in the the 4th quarter.
If that match is reffed in any way fairly Scotland win well.
I doubt he would want NZ getting the psychological boost of being best SH nation a year before the World Cup.No idea what the structure of the Nations Cup is, but doubt Rassie is concerned that South Africa won't progress further.
Might as well use it to develop players.
They blitz the opponent at altitude and then need to consolidate/recover. The problem doing that with a team like Australia, Scotland or even Ireland is that they will keep you moving and end of match fatigue can manifest like a defensive collapse as we saw with SA yesterday in Q4.I can't really figure that one out. The Boks are making a habit of starting really strong and then being pulled back. Is the 2nd string Bok team a big drop in quality? What was the reason for zero Bok defence close to the breakdown
No idea what on earth you are on about.@Demfad Advocating for a Boks red card because Kriel doesn’t play for the Bulls.
Your words. What I am saying is that the second SA try was not a try. You saw Venter carry Wiese through the Scotland defensive line, you understand why that is illegal, same reason as sealing off is illegal, Scotland have to be able to play the ball.So it’s the refs fault?
I can’t imagine going through life with so many excuses.Scotland showed the way to beat SA, which was always the way to beat SA. You move them around. You also must be clinical in the red zone. Scotland needed to be ferocious in the 5m zone. When clearing out after a drive, clear any extra available defensing player legally, nit just the ones directly threatening the ruck. That puts them out for a phase of two. SA run out of players. This is how SA themselves convert effectively from 5m.
WR need to look at putting in strong referees into intimidating environments like this. Scotland deserved better than he clown in the middle.

This happened with Australia in 2025 and Ireland in 2024 (SA beat Ireland by a score).
No idea what on earth you are on about.

We also saw in the first half a Scotland maul heading for the line. A Bok player was spat out the Scotland side and to stop a try he grabbed the Scottish player in possession with both hands by the back of his shorts, suceeding in slowing momentum to stop the imminent try. Penalty and if not pen-try and yellow.
In the second half we saw a perfect Scottish maul drive over the SA try line. The Scottish players are balanced and in control. The maul suddenly collapses over the line. It can't be a Scottish player it is caused by a SA player collapsing and pulling it down. There is no other explanation and a review would have told the ref who to yellow before awarding the pen-try. No review.....held up! Insane refereeing.
I won't mention how many times SA dived early defending their try line.
In any reasonable refereeing display Scotland are at least a try up an H/T, consolidate in Q3 and annihilate SA in Q4.
With the homer refereeing, with everything that went wrong, with not converting multitudes of gilt edged chances, Scotland came with in a silly Karl Stein fumble of equalizing.
With a fair ref and a fair rub of teh green Scotland score 50+ in that match against a weak and arrogant Bok setu
Youre a moron Trump supporter. I suggest you start practicing.I can’t imagine going through life with so many excuses.
That coming from a MAGA, hilarious.I can’t imagine going through life with so many excuses.
