Here is a long list of possible ideas to improve RC3 for the next iteration, what do you think?

Correct sub numbers & positions.
Have a correct assortment of positions on the bench and subs wearing correct numbers for realistic subs. HKR, 16, LHP 17, THP 18, etc.

Scrum penalties and predictably.
Make it hard/rare for scrums to go against the head and have penalties for scrums collapsing, perhaps change mini game completely to do this.

Accurate, more, simple, player positions.
Make positions accurate e.g. Farrell is still listed as an 13 when in reality he is a 10/12, and have one position for locks and wings rather than left and right individually. Give players the most positions possible e.g. Manu Tuilagi OC, IC, WG instead of just OC. Tom Wood 6, 7, & 8, instead of just 7.

Fatigue carrying over in competitions.
Have players get tired through competitions and career, have to rotate them to avoid injury risk and play better e.g. lose stats when tired.

Competitions at neutral grounds.
Select a range of neutral stadia for created tournaments group stages and set the venues for each QF, SF & F.

Change line up before matches.
Change team temporarily for each game in pre-game menu without permanently changing it.

Varied referee colours.
So they are not always white and don't clash with teams, possibly be able to choose it at kit selection before games.

More predictable and realistic turnovers.
More predictably in flow of game and phase play build up by making turnovers less random/frequent. Only turn over after big hit with momentum or isolated player. Would be good to have a better quick turnover animation instead of the player just slowly standing up with the ball.

Ball presentation from mauls.
Have the last carrier holding at the back and be able to break off or present to 9 while holding it for pass/box kick.

Create kits.
Choose a logo to go on it from generics and existing ones. Choose shirt pattern e.g. 2 colour hoops, 3 colour hoops, quarters, plain. Choose shorts colour. Choose socks plain/stripy and colours.

More small generic stadiums.
Like Allianz park, AJ Bell, the rec. Maybe tiny ones for creating amateur clubs/schools/uni teams.

Delete and edit default players.
Delete retired players, edit players stats for all players even with special likenesses as they change over time.

Auto overall generator for each position.
Enter a position and overall ability and get preset stats as a base when creating/editing players of varied standards.

Swap teams in leagues.
E.g. Put created in team in place of premiership team without linking it to keep the old team but not in the competition.

Default playing styles for tactic sliders.
Expansive, forwards, backs, territory orientated team styles for example.

More penalties for ruck offences.
Off feet, hands in ruck, not releasing as they are far more common than high tackles.

Anglo-Welsh cup.
More variants of created tournaments like this one.

Promotion and relegation.
Even if only one team there could be a play off in career mode.

Player growth in career mode.
Even as simple as +1 each year up to 26 and -1 after 32.

Keep line-outs the same, less not straight as it can be difficult in pro, therefore more focus on pods less on getting it straight.

Kicking is better, but like the line outs make easier on pro.
More stats, punt distance, punt accuracy, goal kicking, long goal kicking.

Make finding players easier when drafting squads.
Sort by nationality, overall, age, position. Rather than scrolling through all the players.

Left and right wing is realistic because some wingers i.e Digby Ioane only play left wing.....

A lot of your suggestions are just basic suggestions that have been suggested time and time again. It comes down to the budget of the creators. We can't get a NBA 2k17 game on a homeless shelter budget.
 
I get your thing with wingers as most do have a preference at least but the 3 position limit can be restricting for utility backs as many can play both centres, wings and fullback, or fly half, both centres and fullback.

Whats frustrating is that they are seemingly small things that could add up to a fairly big difference in game quality overall. Things that have gone backwards are just baffling e.g. no editing default players, ref kit clashes, random sub numbers. It's a real shame that they can't get the resources to make a final push for a game to be a real hit and get momentum for continuations as I think there is so much potential!
 
Honestly I wish they'd just fix the teams having random players in them in Career and be a pro.... Nothing worse than playing against the All Blacks and they have imaginary kiwis.
