Super Rugby Pacific (2025)

Big home victory for the Drua in their last home game of the season.

Commentators said a few players leaving at the end of the season for France. Shame, but you can understand the lure of the bigger pay cheque. An issue for super rugby it seems with Japan offering higher pay as well.
I expected more from the Drua this season, but I'm glad they won their home finale.

Do they not have TMO in super rugby? That Lancaster try for the Waratahs was clearly dropped before it was grounded.
Theyve been letting clear knock ons go all season. Its so bad i assume at this point it must be a clear directive in an attempt to keep the flow and games high scoring artificially.

Super Rugby is painfully predictable. One team winning 8 titles in 9 years is not the sign of a strong competition. This was one of the weakest Crusaders teams for years in terms of talent yet they still got over the line.

A very interesting competition, and one that makes life hard for those at the bottom end of the table, as they get all the disadvantages one could ever dream of, and have no realistic hope of ever winning the trophy.

George bridge cops a lot of flak for his time with the AB's, personally i put a lot of it down to fozzie, bridge was possibly one of the best examples of fozzie deciding on a game plan and selecting his squad....independent of each other, we saw him try and use 95kg bridge as a power winger doing crash balls

he was always more the good enough for super level though so its a good signing i think, should have a couple of years left in him
