Today was nothing, it was just a test really to ensure the machine works properly and nothing needs tuning. As CA Iversen said earlier in the thread - everyone is making a song and a dance now when in reality it will be October when the beams come into contact with you. If this experinment is going to bring an end to the world (and it is beyond highly unlikely) it will be towards the end of October when the real business begins.

It will be a long while before they actually start colliding the protons to emulate the big bang a billionth of a second after it happened. This is just phase 1 - The interesting part is when they start colliding the protons and lots of new scientific **** is gonna be discovered.

I think it's gonna be good times when that happens. Very doubtful anything sinister will happen but CERN have said they have no idea what will happen and YES there is the possibility that mini black holes may appear, BUT they will disappear nearly as quick as appearing apparently due to Hawkings Evaporation "Theory". Yup THEORY! Hope the lil dude is right

Russia is still on its way to invade countries (like mine) and still stands for their Gas and Oil power
