Haaa, this highly unpromising thread has taken an amusing turn!

Personally, the English Club system doesn't excite me in and of itself - but I wouldn't blame the national side's general malaise upon it. I'm speaking as objectively as possible here - I do still enjoy watching Wasps, my team, but watching Bath versus Wasps last week - supposedly 2 of the most exciting league sides attack-wise - they could barely score between them. Bath didn't try to play any rugby whatsoever. Wasps did but lacked the skill and intensity a lot of the time.

The rivalries are pretty lame I'd have to say. Tigers Wasps I used to enjoy until we became relegation contenders and couldn't even beat Newcastle.
If we could shorten the club season somehow maybe we could fill the summer months with a franchise style competition without relegation where the better players have an opportunity to use their attackign and creative instincts in a format where there is no relegation.

Massively wasting my breath because it won't happen in a million years.
