Too many games?

Tony, I think there's a case for saying no player should be playing 20 games in a season, if that. Certainly if we wish to put on the best show every time. The right number of games for player welfare I'd argue is still somewhere in the air.

I love having as much rugby as possible, but I find it very difficult to say there's not a case for there being too many games.

The above are the times that the individual players who played during the season actually spend on the pitch and, as you can see, Zee again had the most time but one would have to say his is not as tiiring a position as a Lakafia for instance! Even then, he only played the equivalent of 30 games and there were only 5 players over 20 matches......................

I liked Amazing Spider-Man very much, maybe better than the first trilogy. Iron Man 3 was pretty good, too...I think the best of the series. Loved the new Star Trek movie, too, though I abhor the flare lens. Ugh. I'm not sure about the upcoming Wolverine movie - Marvel has managed to screw him up so much he's no longer the guy I first fell in love with in the comics, and now the movies aren't doing much better (though I did love the way the character was handled in the first X-movie, and most of the second).

That all said, I'm mostly looking forward to the new Lone Ranger movie because it has Johnny Depp...with a dead bird on his head. You just can't go wrong with that! :)

That all said...

I actually think there are too many 'blockbuster' style movies being put out each year. I think that the industry should be changed, and the number of summer blockbusters should be reduced. I mean, between watching all the movies and all the rugby matches, I hardly have time to sleep! :p

I agree on Iron Man 3- Further proof of my thesis, with Marvel having given it to Shane Black, something of a gamble considering he's only directed on feature film, and that was Kiss Kiss Bang Bang ten years ago. I enjoyed Into darkness, but couldn't help but want more Cumberbatch. Best film I've seen so far this year was a little French movie called In The House- it's a blackly comic satire on storytelling set in a school. Think Life of Pi meets Dead Poet's Society with laughs. It's utterly brilliant.

I'm nonplussed about the Lone Ranger, but am besides myself with excitement for The World's End. Edgar Wright is yet to let me down (I've seen Scott Pilgrim over 50 times, and Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead probably 7-or-8 each) and I can't see him doing it anytime soon.

I also agree on the blockbusters. Having just come out of a hellish exam period, I intend to watch 10 films over the weekend at the cinema to catch up (I like to stay abreast on what's out at the moment). I'm really not looking forward to After Earth.

I about peed me pants when I heard about The World's End! Hot Fuzz is one of my all-time favorite movies - I think I've seen THAT one about 50 times (as I have the DVD, too). Didn't see it in the theater, instead caught it by accident on tv. Instantly hooked! I've seen Shaun of the Dead, too, and though it was good I'm not a big fan of zombie anything, even in spoof. I scare too easy. :p

Yes.

Fair enough, a noble decision.

...now that's just intriguing.

Does he prefer the North of the country or the Southern parts of the North to the East, around the Alps in rugby ?

I do not understand your question, because of my lack of knowledge of the geography of France.
By the way, in which city is Dragons Catalans?

Noals batman films are all great but Christian Bale is a ****ty actor he dosen't add anything to Batman as far as I can tell it could have been a stun man the whole time hes in that suit. The reason the first one (IMO) is bale had more screen time.

The point of this thread is valid which is about all I'll offer on the topic.

Don't agree Bale is a perfectly fine actor IMO.

Bog off, you are wrong and you should feel terrible.

My biggest issue with Dark Knight Rises was that I felt it tried to be too much. Ignoring the numerous errors and all (I am not one of those people who whinge about stuff like that) I just thought that the film shifted from story to story, never letting it really develop (yet still managed to be like three hours). The ending was also just awful, Nolan butchered it, took the easy way out.

Meh - if I'm fairly entertained, I can't really complain about stuff. Yeah I'll nitpick about certain details if one or a few catch my eye - but I'll still generally have a positive outlook on it.

Things like that i09 fake Q & A of the latest Star Trek film are a bit too self-serving for me...

Yeah I'm never wrong so that would make you; wrong...
