First round ot the reverse fixtures with probable wins for ASM, Grenoble, Racing, Castres, MHL and Toulon with a tight local derby yielding a close win for Biarritz?

As predicted except for Castres losing to ST although Castres had one clear try chance thrown away by Rory Kockott running in front making the winger pass forward with no one in front and 5 metres to run and then a kick that the Kockott inched wide.......Montpellier crushing Stade (Faith - Gaston - Faith) 33.16 with Toulon/USAP to come later!!

Superb performance from Toulon and JW in particular.......two huge passes that both made tries. Also, superb performance from Poite who stopped the game twice when a USAP player was hit with a laser and threatened to end the game before half time which ended the interference.

This Toulon squad is going to be hard to beat in the Top 14 with, in my uneducated opinion, only ASM close in consistent high levels of performance.

One thing this weekend has shown up is the chasm in class between the top 5/6 teams over the rest is huge and growing.....sad for French club (and probably International in the long term) rugby really but great for those in the top five or six teams................

Gala game at Montpellier the atmosphere was electric, 29 pts for MBM after getting married last weekend, FTD back to his old self mercurial in all aspects of the game, the young Galletier superb when he came and got himself on the score board, first 50 pointer of the season and infront of a good 13,000+ crowd.The champagne in Paris could be warm and green tonight. Final score Montpellier 54 Stade Fracais 16. Happy new Year!!!!!! Good win fror BO against M de M, just scraped through by the one point but as they say "a win is a win and it's better to win ugly then loose"
