U20s 2020

Savage result for the 20s. Two wins away from back to back grand slams. Noel McNamara could probably have any provincial job he wants when they come available.

Jack Crowley is something else too, him at 12 outside Harry Byrne would be a delight to see a few years down the line.

Well, what a disappointing result for Italy. We had a clear chance to be sitting in second place with 9 points (not that it would have meant anything but it would have been nice to see) as we were the superior team for 65 minutes, leading 29-18 and with the ball in hand inside of Scotland's 22, but then we completely lost composure and we ended up conceding a million penalties in a row and somehow managed to lose the game. This team is probably the most gifted we have ever had in the Under 20 Six Nations (up there with 2018 team) but yesterday they showed they still lack something when the game is one the line, so frustrating to watch...

Some phenomenal play from the Irish boys, Ethan McIlroy's offload was absolute sublime for the 2nd try (I think, maybe it was 3rd)
The offloading skills were cracking, some serious flare coming through the Irish ranks

Enjoy it while it lasts. In a few years these players will be box kicking and trying to crash up the middle, grinding out the hard inches.

Great result for Wales. My only concern is: was that a more-or-less full-strength U20s England side, or have they lost players to their clubs again?

Very enjoyable game that. Could have easily gone England's way had they not missed almost every kick at goal and hand Wales points at the restart.

England lucky to only be down to 14 for 10mins though. Blatant red, even if there was no intentional malice from the English fullback.

Costellow could be some player in the years to come.

It's just not a great England side in general,
Been on a slide since the RFU sacked the two coaches in charge or age grade a couple of years ago

There are a few recalls to clubs but not enough to cause major damage

Well Nick Cain in The Rugby Paper complained about the team that lost to Ireland being under-strength.

Age grade doesn't matter quite so much about the results.

Better to have 2 absolute standout players in a reasonable, but unbalanced, team than 13 very good players in a balanced and very good team.

The former 2 will enhance your senior team in the years to come, while the latter 13 will only likely ever amount to senior squad filler or so-so starters.
