URC round 6 - 2025/26

Anyone playing Welsh teams win by default due to the decimation from the Springboks game I think (specifically Cardiff from what I understand via grapevine).

Stormers and Sharks to lose - They're going to be equally decimated by the SA gam requirements. Lions may stand a bit more of a shot due to the loss of players to the Bulls.

Is a bit of a shame though, that Stormers vs Munster game should be the top of the table clash. But looks like we will still be without Ben-Jason Dixon, Zachary Porthen, Damian Willemse, Cobus Reinach and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu. We could be ok, but that's a lot of creativity in our backline we are missing.

Good week to have the Dragons, we need easy points and I don't particularly feel like watching rugby after last weekend.

The Christmas period will be huge for us. Probably need a provincial sweep to give us a shot at finishing top.

It’s ok, at least Dragons will still beat Leinster.

Didn’t Rassie say that he has to return players to the URC clubs? Does that only apply to the non-SA clubs?

Non-SA clubs only. So anyone playing for Leinster or the Welsh teams for example (hence no RG and no Boan Venter).

If it was no SA URC players we would have no team really.

Think we should be able to go fairly strong against Stormers. Obviously a very big game and we can go into Christmas unbeaten in the URC all going well. I would really like us to take a crack at this game and Bath and rest a bit against Gloucester if needed. I think we will be forced to rest our 4 internationals, even though Farrell barely played. Also not sure if Kleyn will be playing the SA v Wales cashgrab game either. We could obviously refuse to release him, but that's not historically been our style. Hoping Edogbo can come fit, must have been a nasty head knock against Leinster.

@Leonormous Boozer I didn’t see the game just saw a clip of that shoulder to the head late in the game when it was 17-10 to your lot. Looked pretty clear cut yellow to me.

What was the game like? Did Dragons deserve to get something out of it or was it one of those where they were getting beaten up, showed a lot of guts but ultimately a Leinster win was a fair result?

Had the work Christmas party so missed it too.

Don't know how that hit wasn't a penalty + YC either. The level of reffing in this game is killing my enthusiasm for it currently.

Bulls definitely suffering from missing their Springboks… but also Lions doing what they do best in not really pitching up against the NH teams but taking points off the other SA sides.

To be fair they’ve been impressive, and it’s quite the Scoreline.

Edit: on second look, that’s a bit harsh on the Lions. They were bad on their tour up north but have been doing well back at home.

It was same old for Dragons really. Had Leinster under the pump for large periods, forcing them into conceding a lot of pens and a few yellow cards. But they couldn't take full advantage of their chances, and made a few costly errors.

That shoulder to the face was a clear as day yellow and would have given Dragons a guilt edged opportunity to level it with only a few mins left.

Last words to RG Snayman, he came on and it looked like men against boys, the guy's a freak!
