[h=5]The Blue Bulls Company (Pty) Ltd is pleased to announce that Piet van Zyl has agreed terms and will join the Vodacom Bulls on a two year contract from November 1st, 2013.
The Pretoria-born 23 year old scrumhalf made his Springbok debut in 2013 following some very good performances for his Super Rugby franchise, the Toyota Cheetahs.

Vodacom Bulls coach Frans Ludeke welcomed the news.

“Piet is an exciting youngster which brings a lot of energy and commitment to the field. His style of play will suit us and I am convinced that he will blossom in our playing style and structure. We have lost one Springbok in Jano Vermaak, so to replace him by another in Piet is fantastic for our depth,†Ludeke said.

BBC High Performance Manager, Xander Janse van Rensburg confirmed the deal.

“Piet will still play for the Toyota Free State in Currie Cup, but will join us on November 1st on a two year deal till 31 October 2015. We are very pleased to secure his services as he is one of the most promising and exciting young halfbacks in the country.â€[/h]

^Bulls have always produce quality 9's for SA and they did it with local boys. Both big influences in the WC we won. This is not a good move. Maybe they should just produce them and see what comes out rather than trying to turn someone into a FdP

Sarel is back at Griquas aiin't he?

1. The Bulls don't have a proper scrum half with Vermaak leaving and Hougaard being the only option but injury-prone

2. Sarel Pretorius signed with the Free State provincial team when he returned from the Waratahs. Griquas have Jacques Coetzee and Marnus Hugo at 9

I know that but thsey have been always been able to produce local gems. Just think signing a Van Zyl might miss out on the next one they manage to produce who are different play his own way but very good at it. Like Joost and FdP was. They are going to teach Van Zyl to box kick trying to turn him into a FdP

Thought I'd put this in here as it has to do with South Africa super rugby transfers,
