Mike Phillips is in danger of missing the World Cup after he was banned from the Wales squad with immediate effect.

Doesn't have anything more than that yet,

Scandal!

Edit:
Seems he was involved in an "incident" in Cardiff:

Yeah to make matters worse , look at the god dammed pink handcuffs they used on him...insult to injury or what :p

I would be surprised if the 'indefinite' ban runs all the way to the world cup... Hopefully they are just banning him to make an example and stop all the others from going out and getting drunk during world cup warm ups!

The police said the subdued him but didnt arrest him.

No arrest, no crime, unless there is clear evidence of anti-social behaviour they will cancel the ban.

BBC article has been updated with the WRU press release
The general gist of it being
"We have suspended Mike Phillips on the clear evidence of a level of behaviour we regard as unacceptable."It is clear there has been a breach of our disciplinary standards."

Lloyd Williams has been called in to the squad to replace him

hahahahaha funny stuff. Saw him drive past me smugly in cardiff on monday in a huge Land Rover or whatever it was.... Probably pushing his weight around a little too much in town after a few shandies. The one thing that really annoys me about welsh rugby guys, as soon as they've played in the millenium stadium, they automatically turn into stuck up muppets (some at least). Really annoying to be in the same club as them sometimes..... ah well if he's done wrong, then he deserve what he gets.
Also I wonder if he begging the police for "mercy" ;) lolz

To be honest, I think we'd be better off with Lloyd Williams than Phillips.
Williams looked surprisingly comfortable in the Barbarians match and could easily be our next scrumhalf.

And good riddance. We're now dangerously close to having our four best Scrum-Halves in the squad. (I'd personally have Rhys Webb above Llyod Williams, but it's not that big a difference, to be honest, both are good, young players. Williams is probably slightly quicker, so it'll be nice to see.)
