Most of the refs were ok in the games I watched of the Wellington 7s. But Jason Way... FFS. He let the Kiwis throw the ball over the try line they got a try. And he gave yellow card to a Samoan for what he (ref) said was a neck role, which was not a neck role. When it is below the shoulders it is NOT a neck role. :%#%#::%#%#::%#%#::%#%#:

First try should've at least gone to the TMO, but could easily call it a knock-on live.
And even if it were a neck roll, giving a yellow card is a bit harsh. It's a lot harder to make a "clean" clear-out than a "clean" tackle. You probably see at least some sort of "high" contact at most rucks.

Argentina's results are a testament of our consistency. We get demolished by England, the ABs destroy England and then we beat the ABs...
We beat France and lose to Canada. You can't make this up.

The thing i dislike about 7s is the impact yellow cards have. It's too big. 2 minutes out of 14 is more than 10 out of 80 and having a player less in sevens is a monumental advantage.
In 15s two evenly teams can probably find a way to manage or minimize the impact of a player less. In sevens you've got nowhere to hide. A reasonable team will transform the extra man into a 2 on 1 situation most of the times.

Sevens can be unpredictable for all sides at times though. England lost by 26 to NZ over in Cape Town, and then managed to beat Fiji and SA the next day. That's saying something considering it was SA's only loss so far and at home.
