What Player will we be all be Talking about in Years Time

I havn't watched 6N this year (the wife made me choose between S15 and 6N and I went for S15). I know most of the young Welsh guys from last year's RWC and Wade looked like a Jason Robinson in the JRWC. Anybody new from France and Ireland(New Georgia)? I saw a new name- Fofana- for France that I don't know anything about. Is he a good prospect for les Blues? Any Youtube vids of the 6N to recommend?

There I fixed it - specially for Psychic duck and Big Ginger! :p

:o Divorce the *****! ;)

Fofana is a serious talent, an old school jinking 12 with the power to be effective in the modern game. Played a bit on the wing too (although no youtube videos, sorry).

I don't really have any idea who you'll be talking about in a year, I on the other hand will probably be talking about Paul Marshall.

I wouldn't be so confident of that last year you'd have said JO'C and knew little about Marshall. Plenty of small blonde men could turn up in a year.:shok:

The Great World of Rugby usually has fairly good tributes. Here's one of Fofana.

Harry robinson(will oust north with ease)

Zac Guildford(will establish himself as one of the all time greats)

Robbie freuan to make the all blacks for the summer tests

Zac Guildford is long gone..

I'm expecting Canterbury and Crusaders wing/fullback Johnny McNicholl to have a very big season next year, and hopefully break into the All Blacks squad at some point in 2014. I think he has a better all round skill set than Halai, he's more of a Ben Smith kind of player. With Jane, Halai, Savea, Smith, Dagg and Piutau ahead of him (plus the likely return of Kahui in 2015) McNicholl may struggle to make the squad, but I think he's a prodigious talent.

- Darren Waters. Yet another young openside who's recently made his mark. He's the kind of player that will better compliment Lydiate and Faletau. Gavin Thomas has been good at the Dragons, but I've always felt that he's lacked a little quality. Waters is more of a genuine openside who makes his presence felt at the breakdown and in his support play.

What happened to Waters? He seemed to just vanish after impressing for a short spell.

Well if you haven't heard of Stuart Olding by now watch this space. The kid is absolutely electric. It's early days, but he looks like the most talented centre we've produced since...well, you know.

In Canada my guess is Tyler Ardron, he really looks like the real deal, the first thing my Dad told me when I got back home after the game against the Maori....."Holy Cow that Canadian number #5 Ardron, don't know if I've ever seen a player try so hard for 80 minutes in an exhibition match....even when they were still losing by 25, that guy wanted to win pure and simple." Also is doing very well at Ospreys, putting in some great late relief efforts and a few solid starts...and is only 22.

2014 potential all blacks:

Augustine pulu
Andrew horrell (needs a full year starting)
motu matu'u
Brad shields
Ardie savea (future star)
liam coltman

Keep a look out in the future for a player aswell called tevita li in the blues wider training squad, hes 18 and is a devastating winger/ fullback

For Ireland..

JJ Hanrahan (Munster)
Stuart Olding (Ulster)
Tom Farrell (Leinster)

Potentially a 10, 12, 13 combination there! They're all backs. Its harder to predict forwards.

Buttin (probably doesn't count anymore) and Lapandry, and maybe Ric from Clermont.
The Wallis and Futuna armada: Tolofua and Taofifenua. Both very young frontrowers.

nope Buttin just doesn't count anymore :p
Yeah I'd say Sofiane Guitoune most certainly as he's leading the Top 14 in tries, not exactly something to sleep on.
From Toulouse: Christopher Tolofua, Yacouba Camara and Gillian Galan.
And I like Rémy Grosso who was in Lyon and now plays in Castres. He's got a BRUTAL fend, he can smash into defenders attempting to tackle him, and has good speed on that wing. Makes wingers like Médard look like teenagers trying to tackle him. Gotta love power on the wing.
