Happy to see a good smattering of Scots.
Disappointed that Graham has been passed over.
Surprised but pleased to see Cummings.
I thought Darge/Ritchie would be in with a shout.
Annoyed about Daly, demonstrably the worst test player by his stats in the tour, thought Jordan would have a better shout for a utility back, but he has that in his future.

Underhill is a good player. But he isn't even a shoe in for starting in the England backrow these days. People don't seem to understand the depth of backrow when it comes to choosing from 4 nations!
I think Underhill gets a bit overrated due to his "he makes a bone crunching" tackle here and there. More to rugby than that. And there are other backrowers that are just overall better players and bring more to the table than Underhill.

I wouldn’t have selected Underhill but think this is a seriously reductive analysis of what he brings to the table.

Not saying he only brings bone crunching hits to the table. But his other attributes (jackling, link player, handling etc.) whilst there, are not as good as many of his contemporaries vying for that back row position.

I think he always had a chance tbh. He’s been playing well this year and for the last 2 lions tours he’s played himself into 5/6 tests from being nowhere near the test team on squad selection day. Farrell was there for both of them and it was maybe worth a chance for him.
Graham losing out to Hansen on the basis of the last 6-12 months is an odd one for sure. At least they both get to spend the Summer at home.
I'm no Daly fan but he had a very good 6N, he's earned his spot

Think Faz has said there's possibly two spaces available still. Some are still going to get injured and some might not make it on tour. Still a chance even if by luck for a few.

Tbh I don't see the hype with Jac Morgan, there will be better options left at home IMO.
I know he's been in a Welsh team taking a pestling and in such circumstances you'd expect tackle stats to be high. Was completely anonymous in the England game but I suppose pretty much all 23 were......
