What's your squad look like?

Jordan was excellent in the 6 nations. He made some breaks and for a second I couldn't work out who it was because he was running so fast. I didn't realise he was so quick. And he also had the hands to get the pass away and finish the move off.

You quite plainly stated "Jordan is full back, who can play 10". He isn't, he's a fly half/centre who can also play full back, more versatility than Smith.

As regards brackets, ifs and buts mean nothing.
Why does the Scotland National website list him as a full back? You should get on to them pal and set them straight.

Asher Opoku-Fordjour joining Jamie George as cover player.
I don't like that at all. As Tigs said in the semi final thread he looks tired, plus he's still really young and I'm a convert to WT's drum beating about not overplaying young props.

I guess as a cover player there's less chance of him playing three tests for England

He's already doubled my licked-finger-in-the-air suggested maximum minutes for a prop of his age; and already looking fatigued (mentally and physically IMO) out on the pitch.
For me, it's just another example of "no, you cannot trust the coaches, the players, or even the medics, to make the best decisions for a player's long term health"

Fantastic learning experience for him, of course; and as long as that's all it is, then fine, but the lad really should be on a flight to some remote island where they serve drinks with umbrellas in them

Like the only reason he’s going is because of the TH’s unavailable

He’s not going to get taken to the tour

Just feels it makes more sense to allow him some break before England duty

I know - I don't want him going on the England tour either; let alone exhausting himself in training when he could be getting a week or two of R&R before his next England camp.

Why call him up at all though unless he’s seen as one of the next cabs off the rank in case of injury? That’s the obvious rationale for George.

From what I’ve seen of AOF this season he’s had some screaming highlights but also some performances where he’s looked exactly what he is, a naive youngster going through the scrummaging rites of passage that all front rowers have to. Not exactly second season syndrome, but opposition are now taking him seriously, he’s played a fair bit and now he’s probably pretty tired and in need of a good break.

I’m largely in the WT camp here.

Because the Lions play Argentina in 11 days and there are a bunch of players currently missing due to the URC and Premiership finals/injuries.

No Furlong (possibly at all), no Stuart, no Fagerson etc.

Bealham has been called in too. He is a much more likely 'next cab'.

They can’t train without tightheads and hookers.

I'd say he's making a fair whack for a week of holding tackle bags and maybe benching in the lowest stakes game of his senior career too.

The heart doesn't bleed for the kid, he'll be fine.
