What's your squad look like?

Farrell hasn't been a successful England 10 for a very long time. He doesn't deserve to be there at all.

Utter disgrace and it must be a massive bias to bring an out of form non international in the incorrect position on tour. There is no other option.

Wrong position
Not in form
Not playing international rugby
Barely playing club rugby
Proven to be a bell end
FTFY

I'm sure he has, but I can't think of him having an actively good match for England since 2019 RWC

When does his contract expire.

Quins 2028. Central, who knows?

Suspect he’ll stick it out to the RWC but if he hasn’t reclaimed the starting shirt by then I could easily see a large cheque from a French club turning his head. He’ll turn 29 a few months after the RWC and he’s been playing for Quins first team since he was 18.

I imagine they will keep him under central contract until such time someone his age or younger can be a suitable cover for F Smith. They won’t want a time where F Smith is injured and Ford/Farrell are both injured or too old.

Do Irish people like Owen Farrell more than English people do? I'm actually a big fan of him
He's sitting on about 50 more international caps than he ever deserved because of our inability to produce 12s.

15 years of professional rugby and he still can't pass accurately left to right, has never offered a running threat, and should have had quite a few red cards that he got away with.

I liked for him for England. He was much better than many gave him credit for, thought him and Sexton were great for the lions in 2017 but I don't understand his Lions selection now

You're not going to convince me that this was an objective call to bring in the best player available to replace Daly. Daly covers 11, 13, 14 & 15 mainly. At a stretch very possibly 10 or 12 in a worse case emergency situation. How is Farrell a like for like replacement? That's not even getting into his form and lack of international match time. The only way I see A.Farrell justifying it is by making Marcus a purely utility player and Farrell becomes 3rd choice 10.

It's a **** decision that won't help bring more undecided fans on board.

It's probably brought me more on board. Love Faz Jnr, wish he was IQ for a dirty and funny nation switch.

I understand Owen Farrell might have kind of typified England being a bit average for a few years there, but I don’t think the fact he continued to make English sides was his fault. He gave it socks and was tough as a jockeys ********. He definitely had a period where he needed to sort his tackling, but I don’t think he was consciously dirty or a scumbag.

Now him not being in the tour on merit fair enough, he’s lucky. He also won’t bother a test jersey though. I don’t have an issue with him called up. Fully happy to admit I would if he was being called up over a player I actually cared about.

One thing would note is every home nation have their first test this weekend. Their team have been announced for Saturday so I would assume there is noone left at east the week.

I noticed Tom Jordan hasn't been selected for the Scotland game which makes me wonder if he's injured.

Doubt that has anything to do with it I imagine if anyone was given the phone call they'd be on the plane with support from their nation.

Find it hilarious that an even more maligned English player than Daly has been called up to replace him. Love it that Farrell made the squad. Just for the fact to see people blubber that it should have been Tom Jordan instead 🤣

I do think this precedent should be used to call up POM though and have him room with Marcus Smith and Henry Pollock in front of a live studio audience for the duration of the tour.

Quite a few of the more experienced first team players aren't playing in the Scotland game, so I don't think Jordan's injured. Could be wrong, of course.
