Will Australia be 'Informed in 2014/15'

The thread was dead enough in any case. We might as well have it now.

Aussie tears will taste even sweeter next year when the RC comes around again.

I'm interested to see how the Super Rugby teams of the Aussies will go about. The Brumbies and The Reds who were both the main contenders from Oz lost their influential coaches. Jake White is back in SA, and Ewen with the Aussies (I know he wasn't head coach, but he was still involved with the team and was at nearly every game they played).

I don't think the Wallabies would fall into the tempting trap of playing both Hooper and O'Connor together. It's not quite right, in the same way as playing both Robshaw and Wood isn't quite right.

Looks to me like Scott Higginbotham are Scott Fardy are currently the best options at blindside.

dude....wth do you have against Aussies ?!! :p Srsly, you won't miss the smallest opportunity to extend your disdain towards them. What is it ? They're not even annoying fans, as we discussed before..

Pocock at 6 and Hooper at 7? Not likely, as pointed out by others, it limits the Wallabies line out options. What the EOYTs showed was that the Wallabies are still in the top 4 when it comes to the breakdown; they just need to maintain the front 5 to hold them up in the scrum. That means Kepu ahead of Ben Alexander at tighthead. I think through to 2015 the Wallaby line up should be:

1. Slipper
2. Moore
3. Kepu
4. Simmons
5. Horwill
6. Higginbotham
7. Pocock - captain
8. Mowen

9. Genia
10. Cooper

11. Cummins
12. Leali'ifano/Toomua
13. Kurindrani/AAC
14. Tomane
15. Folau

That's a team that can get out of Pool A come 2015. Whether they can win it is a different story.

LOL. I don't particularly dislike them. I suppose it's a combination of me 'loving to hate them' and the Aus fans generally being good sports. I am in no way serious.

isn't henry speight from fiji

Yes but close enough to be eligable for Aus through residency.

I just got reminded again how insane that pool is. It's their own faults that England ended up in 5th place and Wales in 9th on the IRB rankings but for that to happen at the time the draws took place and for them all to fall in with Aus in particular from band 1... you just couldn't script it any better. I know it shows up some problems with the system and I understand the frustration that Psychic duck demonstrated in another thread but it certainly makes for a good script.
