Yep that is quite weird. Even I wore the number 6 jersey as an open side flanker from U/11 rugby.
Maybe everybody else is swapping those 2 numbers around since a South African was the mastermind behind the modern scrum formation (3-4-1)...

SA don't really play with an openside and a blindside. They use two 6.5's if you like.

Yea Ireland have a very poor record in world cups, O'Driscoll was very good in 1999 and 2003. Keith Wood, brilliant player, but with Fitzy there i wouldnt have him in my starting xv.

Thats why McCaw isnt in the team , i remember he played well in the 2003 quarter final.
