World Rugby u20 Championship

Not overly impressed with the Saffer crop either, we basically won today with classic SA rugby, scrum, maul, box kick repeat - it works until you hit a pack you can't bully and then you lose. One day we will learn our lesson but not today apparently.
The one bright spark for me is Wandisile Simelane, fast, agile, aggressive defender and good under the high ball.

Another match against Ireland another star fly half off injured with a long term injury.

Not that he has been really impressive for the U/20's, his absence in their preparation has been showing. Maybe our backline might show a bit more cohesion now.

Hope he's okay though, seems like he's out of action for a fair bit now.

Simelane was outstanding that second half.

Not a great Ireland u20s vintage but Caelan Doris really stands out. Shame that he couldn't be paired with Jack O'Sullivan in the backrow for this tournament.

I think it's a decent group but as the old saying goes, you're only as good as your weakest link. There was 13 points in it at the end which reflected the scrum dominance of the baby boks. The scrum was sh!te and one or two of the backs were simply out of their depth.

Doris the stand out.

Hardwick having a mere today.

BUT IMO he will make senior, reckon he will be in the 23 for Leicester next season regularly been a standout in the A league and in his AWC game v Bath controlled the game better than Burns.
