Why wasn't it?

Let's hear why it was ok?

Do you know why you're not meant to target civilians areas in war now?
At the time is wasn't necessary illegal but would be now

Plenty of good info out there about the proposed invasion of Japan.

So murdering hundreds of thousands of civilians was ok in your book?

Surely any other nation would also be justified in using nukes under similar circumstances? To prevent an invasion or losses to there soldier's

Did you read the material? The estimated civilian casualties from a land invasion were somewhere between 1 and 3 million Japanese.

Not sure murdering thousands of civilians is justified as the lesser two evils. However the US tried to justify it.

If Iran nuked Forf Bragg to save civilians casualties I'd feel the same. Even if it saved more Iranian civilians.

You do understand why we don't deliberately target civilians now i assume.

So many good stories, and this is what the BBC covers.

Y’all gotta boot that organization.
Shockingly, a broadcasting corporation can cover more than 1 story at a time!
Who knew?

ETA: It's currently "news story" #34.
You have to page down 5 times to reach it.

And adopt Fox? 🤣
Isn't GBNews closing down fairly soon? or is that just speculation?

I think that is just hope about GBNews. The owner is using it as a tax break

It’s a very common right wing talking point (the abolishment of the BBC)

Ironically, the same people would probably love the idea of some Russian style state media broadcaster pumping out propaganda 24/7
Unfortunately there are a lot of people who just see the BBC as a TV provider and don't understand the importance of having a state broadcaster which isn't subject to the whims of business

They should have been forced to close shop after treating Jeremy Clarkson so poorly.
And if you'd been the production assistant who was abused you'd still feel the same? I like JC but he was stupid in that instant and deserved to be sacked. I think if he'd put a little more effort into his apology he may have survived it
