Surely any other nation would also be justified in using nukes under similar circumstances? To prevent an invasion or losses to there soldier's

Did you read the material? The estimated civilian casualties from a land invasion were somewhere between 1 and 3 million Japanese.

Not sure murdering thousands of civilians is justified as the lesser two evils. However the US tried to justify it.

If Iran nuked Forf Bragg to save civilians casualties I'd feel the same. Even if it saved more Iranian civilians.

You do understand why we don't deliberately target civilians now i assume.

Any military that has rules / laws of armed conflict for not targeting civilians. The US has those i believe so does the UK etc.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people who just see the BBC as a TV provider and don't understand the importance of having a state broadcaster which isn't subject to the whims of business

The key thing is to have a broadcaster that doesn't need to chase ratings or advertisers and can therefore provide content others won't.
