Transfers Rumours

If Northampton have come in for Nagle with a decent offer, it'll be tough for him to turn down. He'd go in as 3rd choice lock but would start a lot when Lawes is at the World Cup and 6 Nations. At Munster he'd have a fight on his hands to make the team even while the World Cup is on. I'd expect him to stay if he's offered a deal of 2 or more years but Munster mustn't be complacent.

I'd say a two or three year contract for Nagle at Northampton makes a hell of a lot of sense. Quite possibly more than staying at Munster unless he's got some promises over gametime.

Agree with this but well it seems from training Nagle is going to be put right up the pecking order. I would agree if he isn't he should consider the Saints but I think him and Dave Foley are 2 guys we have to push up the que now

Bullitt, Nagle is one of the few rugby related things Munster have to be optimistic about :( Always a standout player and often MoM, including against the likes of Australia and Ulster in Ravenhill. He isn't ginger, and he is from Cork, so definitely genetically superior to POC :P :D

I hope to god he stays, but only if he is staying because he wants to force his way into the team not just because Munster have offered him an improved contract.

Multiple sources are saying Toulon and Bayonne are duking it out to sign Matt Giteau.

He would be a fool to go Toulon. Wilkinson and Contepomi both have over 2 more years at the club. Toulon would play Giteau at scrumhalf.

Bayonne have plenty of room for him!

Upon resigning Wilkinson and Fernández Lobbe both spoke wonders of Toulon in comparison to Newcastle and Sale. The Salary Cap really factors in here.

That is very true. Toulon do not need him, and he does not need Toulon. I did read somewhere online that Munster might be interested in him, does anyone know if that is true? If Warwick does leave he would be a good replacement, playing him at 12 and moving Earls to 15.

Munster signing Giteau would be an expensive way of papering over some very big cracks. Not a shrewd signing.

France beckons IMO.

No rumours to be found on the web but two real possibilities are Toulouse and Stade Français.

- Toulouse want another flyhalf. They were interested in Dan Carter but that didn´t work out. Now they are going after Lionel Beauxis. Toulouse are also in need of a 12 as Jauzion is retiring from test rugby fter the RWC and should stop alltogether soon afterwards. Giteau looms as ideal.

- SF have gotten Warwick and should Beauxis stay or go to Toulouse they could reallly use Giteau as they have no other 10. Warwick looms as a 10 not a 15 for SF.

I still think Bayonne would offer more though.

Snoop the thing about Munster is strangely we've lost alot less this year than in recent years.
Just think Giteau wouldn't suit our style.

And SF haven't got Warwick yet Melhor
