More than he's ever going to get at the Not Nots!

apparently Gareth Owen leavin Ospreylia for the Scarlets aswell

At last, maybe we can finally see if he can be the player he always promised to be. Re-united with his midfield partner of the U20 WC, Jon Davies aswell.

Hope it's true, really do.

but Nutbrown is off to Bath, from what I've heard.

I shall be praying it is true.

Funnily enough, that picture is also my desktop background. Except on my desktop Biggar's arm covers Bish's face. Confident one overshadowing the quiet one? Just hit me now. Heh. Fancy that.

Wasn't the talk over him going to Wasps? Why is he suddenly destined for Reading Tongan?

Leinster are being strongly linked with Fionn Carr of Connacht (again) and Damien Browne of Brive.

Rumours were big on Saturday that it nearly a done deal. Carr wants to go and Schmidt wants him but IRFU are stalling as they dont think deal is right. Browne would be an interesting deal as he is Irish and Leinster need a lock. But would he be challenging for a spot

Any more on this? I thought his contract wasn't up until 2013?

Apparently was in the Rugby Paper - though they seem to print anything and everything, not just stuff with any truth behind it
Contract is up at the end of the 2012/2013 season so they're either going to pay out a fair bit for him, or it's a load of cr@p

Geraghty's in talks with Brive this week apparently.

Talk about lacking ambition.

Brive are a former topclass rugby team that just got knocked out of the second best continental competion in Europe by the former best team in europe in the quarter final.

How does that lack ambition for money?

There's something special happening at Brive?

Got to be fair to the paper its actually pretty good, something the Fail could learn from when reading their newspapers. Although Jackson and Cain are douchebags

Browne would probably be signed for squad depth and take the place of the retired Trevor Hogan.

There was an interview on Newstalk with Joe Schmidt yesterday. He mentioned that when the internationals are unavailable, he has no choice but to pick kids and this is hampering efforts to make the top 4 in the Magners League. The confirmed and rumoured signings address this problem. Berquist is a more experienced 10 than McKinley and Madigan. Sykes and Browne won't miss time during the international window like Hines. Carr is a proven player unlike Morris, Kearney and Conway. Cronin is international class unlike Harris Wright.

Basically, Schmidt was given a year to try younger players and now having seen what they're capable of, he's filling any gaps in the squad where he thinks the kids might not be up to it.

The way Fitz is going (looks to be on a downward form spiral) he could well overtake him (then again, I imagine there are players already in the Leinster team/academy that could do that?)

I could take or leave Carr signing. On the plus side, he's a proven try scorer, will allow Fergus McFadden concentrate on playing centre and will push an ageing Shane Horgan and out of form Luke Fitzgerald. On the other hand, is he any better a long term option than Andrew Conway or Dave Kearney?

Not a big Dave Kearney fan-he seems a bit square whenever I see him. No more than a squad player for the future, and I thought Conway was more a fullback?
