SuperRugby: Blues v Sharks. 13/04/2012

They're playing like the Warriors...stupid errors when on attack.

Blues need to learn how to pass and catch.

You know, basic skills you learn in rugby when you're under 10s...

Dunno the rules - though listening to TJ seems that it was suppsoed to be.

I'm sure cooky can clear it up for us.

Blues very soft in defense around the loose areas. They're decent in the tight; but need better line management.

Let's see what they can do here.

Lol Walsh just had a bit of a think there. He's so hopeless...

Clear what up? He batted the ball forward into the blues guy, blatant knock on.

It was a knock-forward. Should have been no-try. Critical error by Walsh leading to a 7 point score in a 6 point game.

[TEXTAREA]Law 12 Knock-on or Throw Forward

DEFINITION: KNOCK-ON
A knock-on occurs when a player loses possession of the ball and it goes forward, or when a player hits the ball forward with the hand or arm, or when the ball hits the hand or arm and goes forward, and the ball touches the ground or another player before the original player can catch it.

Guess that Tim Whitehead try call cancels the Benson Stanley try, was supposed to be a penalty for the sharks cos the Blues didn't take the hit from the sharks scrum which caused the poor pass....Guess Walsh is being consistent. Not the best officiating thou but I've seen worse(Glen Jackson last week and Bryce ofcos lol, he is an TMO now)

I guess on reflection, the Blue can count themselves pretty unlucky to have lost this. Two intercept tries and a try allowed after a clear knock on.

However, ignoring that, I think the Sharks played a lot better than the Blues, and certainly didn't make as many unforced errors.

8 in a row to the sharks shows just how far backwards the blues have actually gone. This isnt something thats happened overnight this team and the entire franchise has been mismanaged for a long time now.

The hiring of pat lam as coach was always pretty dubious to me the semi loss to the reds last year underlined that. All that had to do in that game was keep it tight and drive up the middle but no they throw it wide at every opportunity and every team they play against can read them like a book. Crazy.

The thing is i didnt think the sharks were much better than the blues they were pretty bad aswell (mainly kicking and option taking) and the blues dominated them in some areas for long periods of that game.

The fact they came away with the win was more down to the complete ineptness of the blues more than anything I thought.

I know its just so frusterating. Its like your pay hasnt come through for the last two weeks. Wheres Stephen Brett?...chuck in Matthew Luamanu, give him a go. Do something. Im enjoying the Chiefs at the moment, I'd rather watch the Chiefs on TV then go to Eden Park to watch the Blues.

Yep. I've been hearing a phrase being bandied about recently in reagard to that....

"You have to earn the right to go wide!"

Cheers brother.

Agreed. He has some massive flaws in his game, but he's a freak is certainly worth giving a shot.

Some of Lams decision making was odd. The guy Moli was having a shocker, and he drags off the other lock instead.
I thought Moli was doing well - at least in the lineouts. Didn't notice him much in the rucks or in general play though.
