Be great for him to spend a season with Brad Thorn what an experience...but also the likes of Louis Deacon who i think was massively underated.
Be interesting to see how he turns out.

Tigers locks are usually pretty impressive.

Would love it if Genia went to France after seeing every Bath fan and his dog going on about how he's essentially already signed for them.

I don't think anyone has claimed he's already signed - it's almost certain that he had agreed with Bruce Craig that he was/is coming to us next season, however informal that agreement may have been.

Yes - but if it's the case and Genia signs for someone in France then there's nothing to look silly about is there?

Barring one or two naive nutcases I can't imagine anyone claiming he's actually signed unless he has, which I very much doubt he has.

They're bringing Sexy back.

If this does happen we can go back to being a European power again. Which would be nice.

Is Sexton really necessary at Leinster?

Yes. A million times yes. He's the difference between is being able to compete in Toulon and Clermont and not. We have a top class pack, but we lack creativity and leadership in the backs. He supplies both. He'll be most important player again when he returns.

What they said. Leinster need a top class fly-half to get the backline ticking again if they are serious about being at the top in European rugby. Unless you've a lot of faith in Ian Madigan, there is only one possible signing.

Personally, I think it would be fantastic for all of Irish rugby as a sign of intent to get Sexton back. Leadership isn't just on the field - when top Irish players sit down to consider their future, and they see Sexton returning, that could help sway their minds.

I think Madigan is going to be pushed into the 12 shirt now for good. He's too talented to be Sexton's understudy and seeing as we're likely to lose D'arcy at the end of the year we need an established player in the centre. He'll have less game management responsibility there which has always been his weakness and he should be able to utilize his passing and stepping skills to good effect.

A 9-10-12 axis of McGrath, Sexton and Madigan has me quite excited now.
