Some one have an opinion about the Brexit? Is it a good or a bad decision for the UK?

Its an unknown which is why the UK will probably vote to stay in the EU. I am firmly on the fence and cannot decide either way at the minute but the way Turkey are being fast tracked into the EU could make Brexit more popular.

At best, everything goes on as normal. We realise that to keep trading freely with other countries, we have to adopt similar policies to the EU anyway, so replace EU-mandated laws with our own equivalents. We aren't able to keep pace with the EU, so fall behind a bit.

At worst, it is catastrophic. Protectionism causes a substantial loss of trade. Fear runs through the markets and companies move overseas. Worker rights are stripped away by the Tories. Diplomatic relations, particularly with Russia, deteriorate.

? being part of the EU has hardly improved diplomatic relations with Russia. I would actually say being part of the EU has made it worse.

I think it depends on if the UK gets a solution like Switzerland or Norway or is out completely. That was my biggest problem with the book "Europe: In or Out?: Everything You Need to Know" by David Charter: he simply assumes that the UK won't be out completely. Otherwise, I thought it was a good overview of the consequences it would have in the different fields.

Let's be honest... if we vote Out, we'll be told to vote again until we give the right answer :p

I don't know if it's a good idea or not. I suspect the trade apocalypse scenario is overwrought but some form of hit is inevitable. The whole situation is very muddy at the moment.

Seems like the Tories are following Labour down the omnishambles path.

Just so both sides, as opposed to what the BBC are spouting, are set out in regards to sending migrants back from Greece to Turkey....

It depends on EC finding 4000 more officials to police it.

No migrants who have relatives who have made it, no children or teenagers, or vulnerable will be sent back.

So not too many will be returned yet 70 million Turks now have no visa restrictions on entering Europe.

Turkey will receive billions in aid.

Can I just ask for the record........is this a good deal? What do you think?

Anything that brings Turkey closer to full EU membership is a bad deal.

The EU should return their Nobel Price ASAP.
What a ****ing disgrace to mankind they are.

I personally do not trust the Turkish government. Them and Saudi Arabia as a matter of fact. Unfortunately the West (USA) wants to keep them both sweet.

Saying that I don't trust many governments. But for the mess that the Middle East and now part of Europe is in I think the aforementioned nations have a lot to speak for.

...and Osborne/Cameron aren't?

Point being? And TBH not as much Tories doing what was predicted (barring IDS). Not so much face palms .

Crobyn has had sooo many chances to wreck them and he just lacks any personality to make impact in the commons, although I hate him Prescott would of delivered some very damaging blows today IMO and gone after the Tories about IDS.

A decent opposition and Tories would be behind in the polls now.

Corbyn is in over his head. Leader of the opposition should hammer the elected government at every opportunity but he wants to be nice and civil. The Tories are hanging out their arse at minute Blair or Brown would have been all over them like a rash.

They are in some to be fair, albeit by a point.

Right now this feels like Clash of the ****e-Ones.

Isn't this a bit of a sad reflection on the state of politics though? Commons is an embarrassment for the shouting and jeering. That Corbyn is on the civil side of it makes me admire him more.

No. This had nothing to do with whether Corbyn shouted or not (which according to the Guardian, he did, for what's it worth), it's about whether he used the fact that a senior government minister that some people could actually name had publicly came out and called the government's policies a pile of balls or not.

He didn't. He didn't even mention IDS once.

You don't have to be rude to make someone squirm. But you do generally have to mention the reason the other person might squirm. Asking pointed questions and making people squirm is the point of politics. Corbyn didn't.
