The amount of people saying i voted out but only did it because i didn't think we would actually leave.

It's sort of like people forgot it isn't the General Election and that every vote counted.

Originally i was going to do that TBH, but when the remain started to lose ground in the polls i gave up on that thought.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was another referendum held that the IN campaign would win. (Not that it matters).

all this should hopefully kick the younger (Of which i am of that age bracket 18-24) voters bums into gear when it comes to voting.

what a ****ing moron

Do any of you Brits think there is any possibility that the Conservative Government could force an early General Election and then campaign on an election promise that Britain would remain in the EU, then if they get elected (which would be a distinct possibility once the reality hits home for those who voted to leave), they could rightly claim that their victory was a mandate to overturn the referendum result?

Possibility, but long shot.

Only way it would work was if Cameron and the EU stall it now, and that there is a vote of no confidence in the next appointed Conservative leader (Which if it is Osborne or Johnson is very likely IMO).

Joking aside, my wife moved over from France 19 years ago respecting the country for being progressive, multicultural, integrated etc.

She's been told twice this week that she's "one of the nice immigrants, it's the others we want rid of" and once (today) that "the country has spoken and we don't want you here"

Neither of us are happy about this.

Interesting petition
https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/131215

I don't agree with it although i would rather we stay in ATM, 72% turnout is an excellent number TBF, and i feel that whilst not decisive (51%) win, it was still a majority win.

Parliament have to debate it, but TBH it is the public's fault IMO too many remain not turning up because "they know remain will win" too many protest votes thinking remain would win end of the day you play a risky game doing that in close contests.

Which Tyler is it helps I live in Tewkesburyish and I want you both here. Need all the Bath fans we can get ;)

Seriously me and my wife hate how the area has voted. Wonder what our Polish neighbours think of us...guilt by association and all that.

Yeah never been a fan tactical or protest voting just screws everyone over.

Part of me thinks that's just a way to prolong the misery. The other part of me thinks that if you fall into a pig pen you get out anyway possible.

It wouldn't surprise me if a u-turn got shoved in at some point.

It will just prolong the misery, don't get me wrong I still disagree but how is the government going to get 75% turnout...ever? It will just create more turmoil and hesitation in a time where leadership and pointing the way forward is needed.

Don't agree with that petition. But I do wonder whether it is democratically right to bring the UK out of the EU 2+ years from now, when the mood of the nation may be completely different. There are already people coming out saying they regret their vote, especially after the pound dropping to a 30 year low.

If it looks like 55+% of people decide, after the negotiation period, that the price is too high, should there not be another referendum?

Imagine how popular we'd be in Europe if we said we were changing our mind a year down the road

I dunno what more proof you lot need that you are cucked out beyond belief than that petition.

Farage is talking about "re-engaging" with the empire... apparently he wants to recreate an old involuntary "political-economic union" after leaving one

you do realize that many liberals hate neoliberalsim right? neoliberalism is a very centrist idea, if you don't think trump isn't going to embrace neoliberalism idk what to tell you, him and bill were best friends

It really doesnt matter because Trump is a step in the right direction. A vote for Hillary is locking in totalatarian neolib policies.

Farage I couldnt really care for either way.

I don't think you have any idea what neo-liberalism is. Trump is anti-state health care, anti-state regulation on gun control, and his primary campaign is run on the idea of his success in finance. The only thing he is not neo-liberal about is state policy on immigration and defense; which is simply populist bigotry.

you'll find that trump supporters often don't have any idea what the definitions of elementary political terms are
