De Allende back training.
I doubt he will be in good form but TBH I don't think he needs to be at his top speed and off-loading best to add value. We could use his bulk for the hard yards as that is what we are lacking while the likes of Willemse, Vermaak, Lleyds, Kolbe and Senatla are pretty elusive runners and we have Willemse, Marais, Viljoen and Lleyds who can put a team mate in space.
Would Willemse, De Jongh, De Allende and Kitshoff be available for the play offs though seeing as they havn't played a lot of rugby? We can argue our injury case though with Kebble and A Vermaak injured in the loose head and JL du Plessis and Du Preez out at flyhalf while we have had to rotate our centers heavily due to continued injuries.
I'd like to see us show the Sunwolves no mercy at home and see if we can try to emulate the Lions... or at the very least just rack up 5 log points. I'm hoping to see;
15 SP Marais, 14 Dillyn Leyds, 13 EW Viljoen, 12 Damian de Allende, 11 Seabelo Senatla, 10 Damian Willemse, 9 Jano Vermaak, 8 Nizaam Carr, 7 Kobus van Dyk, 6 Siya Kolisi, 5 Pieter-Steph du Toit, 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Frans Malherbe, 2 Bongi Mbonambi, 1 Steven Kitshoff
Substitutes: 16 Ramone Samuelsi, 17 JC Janse van Rensburg , 18 Wilco Louw, 19 Chris van Zyl, 20 Sikhumbuzo Notshe, 21 Justin Phillips, 22 Juan de Jongh , 23 Cheslin Kolbe
Its a bit difficult to say. He has mainly featured off the bench in limited stints as Fleck has opted to rely rather on Kolbe and Lleyds predominantly (fair enough seeing as they havn't let him down and are more experienced). Senatla does look like he likes to look for work but to me at least it seems he has the pace but maybe not quite the vision for the gap/right line though I am not stressing the point and his opportunities has been limited to say the least. Still seems like he beats at east the 1st man every time. Stormers also have a habit of not putting our wingers into space.How's Senatla getting on at the 15-a-side game? I don't watch the stormers and I've only seen him at 7s level where he was unvelievable at times.
Well, to be eligible to play in the playoffs, you must play 4 games or more. Kitshoff won't be available for the playoffs, but the rest should be, if they complete their quota. Willemse interestingly enough, was on the bench for the Stormers before the JWC, and if he plays these last 3 games, he will be available for them in the playoffs.

Well thats the rule but as I understand it you can apply to SANZAR for getting someone cleared as somewhat of a medical joker. Seeing as JC Janse van rensburg is our only loosehead up and running (Kebble and Vermaak both injured) and seeing as Kitshoff was a Stormers staple and is coming back to the union... well, I cn't see how SANZAR can't allow us his services even if only on the bench.
The issue with Kitshoff however is that up until 30 June 2017, he wasn't a contracted Stormers Player. And it would be really hard for the Stormers to convince SANZAAR that he should play. The Bulls was also unsuccessful earlier this year with Boom Prinsloo with regard to the medical joker card being played.
Maybe they'll be more lenient as it is in regards to the playoffs. But I think the Stormers are trying to be a bit more sneaky than that. Surely the Stormers doesn't only have 2 loosehead props on their entire roster??
We don't only have 2, we have 3 of which two are injured;
"De Jongh left the field early in the game with concussion, which will rule him out of the clash with the Sunwolves at Newlands on Saturday, while Treeby will be sidelined for two weeks with a rib injury.
Full-back SP Marais injured his knee after landing awkwardly and sustained no major ligament damage, but his progress will be monitored weekly as to how he responds to treatment.
Meanwhile, Springbok centre Damian de Allende returns to full training with the Stormers this week after recovering from a quad injury.
Props Oli Kebble (thigh) and Ali Vermaak (calf) are still recovering from their respective injuries. Both players face a race against time to be fit for the Super Rugby quarter-finals."
We need a loosehead with SR level experience on the bench. It'd be irresponsible to start an age grade prop in SR play-offs. Just too dangerous. Kitshoff is in the country, in the Cape and signed for the Stormers for next season. He knows our structures and has the experience. I cannot see us denied here surely.
With De Jongh and Treeby now out.. man, we can't catch a break. SP Marais as well.. I suppose we can move Lleyds or Kolbe to 15 and bring in Senatla and have EW Viljoen and a returning (but fit?) De Allende to put in the centers but we just have not had a backline look the same from one game to another. Luckily Willemse looks up to SR level at 10 as it seems clear both Du Plessis and Du Preez will be unavailable. I don't expect him to hold up too well in the play-offs though but I am hoping I am wrong. Just think its unfair to think a u20 year old 10 will hold up under that sort of pressure.
