It’s one of the rules I hate in rugby union. Held up in the air, fine it’s a maul. But then the maul being brought down and players not having to roll away just seems mad to me.

It was only a rule for a brief period of time, I think 2019 to 2022. I don’t think there was every anything about a kick to touch outlawing a review.
