Don't think Scaloni ever wanted or expected to go down a goal playing anti-football but 100% think he knew Emgland would get cagey as the 90mins got closer and left his more creative lads on the bench for it.

Argentina got it better on the day and deserved it.

England are always the same, we play negative football and don't look to keep piling on pressure if we get a lead. It's not just football tbh, in all sports we are atrocious at keeping on pressure.

Everyone and their dog could see parking the bus was not going to work for that long so how the **** can top paid coaches not work it out? Even if we did want to just defend, we still needed at least one defender closing down the guy with the ball so they didn't get free shots, we didn't. Many defenders weren't actually doing anything in defence, just sort of floating around aimlessly in the space.

I think this is about Englands level, the made a semi final by avoiding top teams. Had they come across some of the better ball playing teams earlier i think they would have struggled.

Watching England has also been turgid, none of theor games have been enjoyable from a neutrals POV

To give Tuchel credit, high pressure coaching situations fear doesnt half take control of you, to a much lesser degree my first half coaching scottish prem i made some horrific negative decisions laye in games. I cant imagine the pressure 30 mins from a world cup final could do to a persons mentality
