Spain are not angels themselves but if you can’t see that Argentina were the instigators of the trouble at the end then I really don’t know what to say to you. Look at reality, not your own personal agenda.
It did appear that way at first but when I looked at the wider camera it showed a Spanish sub run directly up to an Argentine player (and antagonize him). He was pushed away (lightly) where the third man in a Spaniard shoves him hard then it kicks off.
So lets have the same "animals" type condemnation of the Spaniards please?

The whinge fest since England lost on Wednesday has been off the ******* charts.

You know I’m not ******* English, right?

They don't. The difference is that Sectarianism is weeded out where possible. Ordinary people speak out against it. Critical. In Linfield a guy was caught singing a sectarian song and he was permanently expelled from Linfield. No questions. What we see in England is not self reflection, but a tsunami of abuse against Argentina (who coincentally eliminated England last Wednesday). No culture problem in England Mens Football fandom, just a few isolated scumbags yada yada yada.
It certainly isn't weeded out. You only have to look at the violence in the game this year. There's a cultural problem with Celtic and Rangers as well. The same with River Plate etc.

You might be shocked to know ordinary people in England accept the loss to Argentina. It's not everyone in England causing a problem. You can't blame everyone and tar everyone with the same brush.

Some people rightly or wrongly don't accept the baiting over The Falkland Islands.

Facts:
  • England supporters have been the most violently racist and xenophobic throughout major tournament history bar none
  • English supporters even now post abusive messages attacking black members of their team
  • As recently as 2024 racist English supporters in attendance at Wembley violenetly assault anyy Italian supporter they can find (note this action was deemed acceptable here because there is racism in Italian football apparently)
  • In 2024 England online fans call Black players who miss penalties "N i**ers" for missiong penalties
  • When the hypcrisy of attacking Argentina is pointed out the poster is slandered as being "anti English" with no substantaition.
  • Domestic Violence warninsg are issued before every major England mens football match.
Every year, globally the England foorball team is viscerally disliked. Every year England fans blame others and expect different results.
I'm not English, so I can't comment on the top ones, but by the way, Domestic Violence increases dramatically before and after major sporting tournaments and is directly linked to alcohol consumption. To say that England is specifically bad is untrue.

There’s no domestic violence in Ireland full stop and certainly none after a bad loss after some sporting event. It’s a uniquely English problem. lol.

It’s good to know that I can call a black person, who was born and raised in England, not English because of the colour of their skin and not be called a racist though. Didn’t get that memo.

Scumbag
A black person or someone of Arab or muslim descent born in France are French. This is my view
A significant portion of English football culture does not believe this is true for Englsih players.

As you defend these people might we assume that you are the "scumbag"?

Is it racist to say Mbappe isn’t French because he’s black? Can you just bring yourself to say yes to that question?

I will happily call any England fan a racist that has that view. But you know what you still haven’t done, or in good faith conceded to, that the England national team has never engaged in a song like that. They found it hilarious and did EXACTLY what you are doing by saying “well it’s not really racist is it” all the while saying this as a country that has no black players. You couldn’t make it up. Imagine what you’d be like if England had no black players. lol.

Demfad, not trying to start an argument but;
  1. England supporters have been the most violently racist and xenophobic throughout major tournament history bar none - Have you got any evidence to back this up?
  2. English supporters even now post abusive messages attacking black members of their team - This is not an issue that only Enland have/ has; this is something that most, if not any, nation in the world has/ does
  3. As recently as 2024 racist English supporters in attendance at Wembley violently assault any Italian supporter they can find (note this action was deemed acceptable here because there is racism in Italian football apparently) - Have you got any evidence to back this up?
  4. In 2024 England online fans call Black players who miss penalties "N i**ers" for missing penalties - This is not an issue that only Enland have/ has; this is something that most, if not any, nation in the world has/ does
  5. When the hypcrisy of attacking Argentina is pointed out the poster is slandered as being "anti English" with no substantaition. - Not saying its not there but i personally didnt see it
  6. Domestic Violence warninsg are issued before every major England mens football match. - As per my other comment

The baiting over the Falkland Islands goes two ways. When England play any major match a toxic narrative qucikly appears. When playing Germany in 2006 it was all about WW2 and disgusting xenophobic traits de facto calling Germans Nazis appeared in English media and throughout the English fan base. Same with Argentina/Falklands in previous meetings. The difference this time was that Millei has some **** going on with Trump behind the scenes so a lot of Nationalistic fervour was poured into the Argentinian social media stream so the vitriol went both ways this time.

There is increased violence and intensity of Domestic Violence after old firm matches and the International equivalent is when England play. We see Glasgow men being brave and openly addressing these issues. Unfortunetly this is absent around the England team.

Hibs and Hearts fans got texts not to be violent to there partners.

DV goes through the roof for Old Firm games. You'd assume it's the same In West Belfast.

There's no doubt DV increases in England, but it's pretty much similar else where.

Never in any of the WW2 stuff has there been any worry at all of conflict breaking out between both nations again or of one of those nations attempting to enforce a land grab in the present day. I'd say amazing you can't see that but you'd let your hatred of England blind you.

Nobody is claiming England are saints but you are finding every excuse under the sun to avoid conceding that England can be the victims of another nations awful behaviour. You can't do it. There must always be a deflection, a "but", a dismissal, anything but admit England just might be in the right every so often.

Also in both WW2 and the Falklands, England were on the defending side fighting an aggressor.

As I said to the div above, you can tell a lot about a society by how said society and its institutions react to racism (which is of course exists in every country)

What was Argentina’s response to the racist bus song? I wonder if he can tell us that after a google.

I’ll give him a helping hand, they ******* sacked some government sports official for having the audacity to say Messi and the Argentina football association should apologise as it made them look bad. They ******* sacked him. lol.

But hey, Nigel Farage.

Just Glasgow? You don't think England supporters groups and football groups here don't acknowledge the issues and are trying to do something.

I bet parts of Belfast are a barrell of laughs for women after an old firm game. Let alone if you wear the wrong shirt.

Yes I do, but anyone > 50 knows this. You won't find any British posters dispute it.

That is true but English supporters are attacking Argentina while silent on their own issues that have never been addressed by them

Just google it. Common knowledge.

Brits here wont dispute this. It was a very memorable night of disgrace on social media

  1. When the hypcrisy of attacking Argentina is pointed out the poster is slandered as being "anti English" with no substantaition. - Not saying its not there but i personally didnt see it
I ahve been called anti-English here and indeed a "scumbag" from a Welsh nipper.

There is a correlation between Sport and DV but the level varies. It depends on the inherent violence with in a group which is fueled by Alcohol. It doesnt mean that more women are abused. Rather that abusers get violent in these situations. The old firm match is a case in point. Not every supporter of either team is an asshole but every asshole supports one of those teams. Likewise, with England football.
I am very familar with the issue generally having raised a lot of € for such agencies and its close to my heart. But it doesn't improve when guys ignore it or call guys who point it out "Scumbags".

The inherent violence within a group. What the **** does that mean?

Actually, you know what. Don’t bother.

Please post an example of England fans being the most "the most violently racist and xenophobic bar none" at the 2026 Football World Cup

Should be easy to find seeing as, apparently, they were like a swarm of locusts across North America

I did not say there was no dopmestic violence in Ireland. That is a strawman (dishonest) argument on your part. It appears to be your modus opperandi. The Irish soccer support does not have those issues. Some aggressive guys are soccer supporters but are more passionate about club matches.

I am confused as to how a Thread on what, tbh, was a Great World Cup (had its flaws, but personally was pretty great) has devolved into an attack on English (and Argentinian) supporters lmao.

Can we get back to the sport, please? im sick of this argument lmao

Beyond local Police and domestic violence I have seen no acknowledgement of the issue by English supporters. They are too busy calling Argentinian people "Animals". This forum is a case in point. You are trying to find any whataboutery there is to diminish the issue rather than acknowledging it.

I honestly don’t think you have a ******* clue what you’re on about. I think you probably feel deep down Irish people are inherently (I like that word) better than English people. I think you’re xenophobic and a bigot and maybe even racist. Oh, and full of ****. Nos da.

There was a sustained attack on Argentinian people. When I pointed out the severe and long time issues amongst English suporters I was called a "scumbag". Xenophobia and such thin skinned insults come together. I don't see much hope for anything changing in English mens football fandom given the ostrich blindness.

Not at all, your just blinded by your hatred of the English. Sadly having been to school in Scotland, lived and worked in Wales and worked in Northern Ireland it isn't uncommon.

I've acknowledged it's a problem, but it's not just an our problem.

Didn't it kick off in Derry recently at the football ie last week? Were English fans involved there?

You "honestly" think no such thing. You actually use that word dishonestly as an excuse to launch another ad hominem attack. With all seriousnesss, you are stupid. That doesn't eman I think Welsh are unter mensch. It means i think you are stupid.
