That's your browsers problem, I go months without needing to log back in, and only then when I clear my cookies....

With Regards to Logging in to read the threads, this is neccessary as we used and still do have a lot of Lurkers on the forum, this isn't a bad a thing, but we would prefer to convert people to members of the Rugby Forum, so they could become part of a community. The whole point in a community is that you don't sit from the edges and watch, you need to get involved otherwise the community will fail, and I know people will say well I will just go elsewhere then, but eventually all the communities would end up being empty nobody would post anything so they would all fail, and there would be no use for them....

Plus the issue with logging in is your browser, however do you use the login on the front screen? if so try using the dedicated page as that will give you a remember me option... I am now starting to believe there is an issue with the login on the front page.

Cheers for your feedback

haha someones looking up porn

however ive got something to mention...

as some might know, i used to be a very fequent user on this forum. i use to spent proberly 80-90% of my total internet time here. and at the time i could. then for reasons such as uni, work and girlfriends, i went away, still checking in and out again, but now because i have a full time job, no uni or girlfriend, ive wanted to spend more time here, let it be little rather none. but ive found, back in the day, i could spend several hours here, have very long conversations with members, go to bed, or work, or school, come back and it would take me a good hour to catch up on all the happenings then start the cyc;le again. now, however, i go to work, or sleep or out and about and the like, and honestly about 5 posts have been made, one new thread if your lucky, and about 80% of those 5 posts have nothing to do with me (ie northern hemisphere rugby, gaming editing/modification, and now french topics. now ive noticed that in the time ive missed, alot has changed, such as it becoing more of a 'rugby' rugby forum, like having the off topic section called the tryline tavern and the like, and its obvious that there has been a big movement of "bums on seats" sort of thing, which IS a good thing, im not arguing there. however, there seems to be a very distintive lack of posts, which is worrying. i dont think that trying charlies BBC scheme will nessacarly help in this way, by getting back those members, but that we somehow got more posters to err... post.

thoughts?

It's a quiet time at the moment. No Super 14 knocking about. It's strange what you're saying sambad because the forum is far, far busier than when you were a regular. There are more posts in a day than there would be a normal week in the olden days. The amount of posts being made now is also obviously going to pale into insignificance compared to the amount during the World Cup we've just had as well.

I do know what you mean though - the emphasis used to be on off topic, the emphasis is now on rugby because we have the members in place for that to be the case. However, we are currently revamping off topic. Why not go and recreate the sambad effect from 18 months ago?

Sorry mate, i often find some interesting topics on that place, but i'm not enough fluent with English to do some proper stuff.

ikvat - yeah i know that, and its important that people like yourself are around, as after all, it is a world sight, and just because language is a barrier doesnt mean that your any less of a contributer than anyone else.

yeah mate, i forgot that the super 14 and international rugby has gone, but i dinno. as for the wc, im really regretting the time that everything happened for that, i would have loved to spend some more time here for that.

as for off topic, it really did pull the forum for a while and times like these, (ie. no rugby) it needs to, and its a really hard to balance a good off topic section when things spill over, become silly and/or becomes dead. and imo, we have experianced them all and done really really well, and i appalud the mod team for it.

it is funny you say to bring back the sambad effect because i was actually going to put out a new product, where you dye your hair orange and girls go mad for you (which i know is a fact, girls love the ging) but some deoderant company sued the **** out of me....

If you have solid gold ideas on Off topic, that don't involve any hair (since I already tried that), make sure to post it xD

I know absolutely nothing of rugby, so as soon as my exams are over (they haven't even started yet!), I'll try and add a few things, as I'm pretty good at offtopicness
