Apollo 14 astronaut claims aliens HAVE made contact - but it has been covered up for 60 years | Mail Online

Clicky.

Interesting, but sounds like the rantings of someone with an agenda to me, and I firmly believe in the existance of aliens myself. Reading through it though:

Sixth man on the moon claims he saw aliens? Yeah yeah yeah, we know the moon landing was a hoax.

Even more consipracies? God, when will it end! Besides, what benefit do we have from faking a Moon landing? >__>

Agree with Dan that there's absolutely no chance we're alone here (infinite space and time = well, what the f*** do you think it equals?), but this does sound a bit... maybe if he could get some footage of one helping him set his VCR or something :p .

To beat the commies, we know if they landed on the moon they would have created some kind of giant Communist cannon on it.

 They 'landed' on it anyway, didn't they?
Anyway, if we can land a pod on Mars to search for teh alienz, we can and should be building civilisations on the Moon. I don't know what this has to do with a crackpot astronaut, but that's my two cents.

yep well known fact it would have fired socialist propaganda at us from space dirty reds imgaine if they had won....

I don't think the Commies even landed on the thing, I can only assume because the Yanks put Anti Aircraft guns on the moon to shoot the Commies Space Migs down. :p

I just read that Russia never actually landed on the moon. The Yanks sure did a job on them, then.

What histories? It's pretty silly to say aliens do not exist, given the Universe, as sanzar said, is infinite (Well, depending on what theory you believe in). The long odds of the 'fluke' we call life happening again are quelled by the sheer scale of the Universe. We probably won't ever encounter aliens though.

Just watch Dr Who, there clearly has to be aliens out there :p The myth of aliens is just like the myth of god, we will never believe it until we see it and encounter it.

I have to say I also agree that there will be other forms of life in the universe. It's just too huge an area for us to be the only piece of life in existence.

Faster than light travel or worm-hole (bent space) travel is the major hurdle to it ever seeing us and that is unlikely to be conquered in the next couple of hundred years, if at all.

Water has recently been discovered as having been on Mars. Well, at least declared more likely than unlikely. It is the fundamental building block for life as we know it. Most scientists (up until 10 years ago) thought there was no way they'd find water or traces of water ever being there.

That's our nearest neighbour and they were wrong.

I believe.

I'd say one of the reasons that there has been no disclosure from the powers that be and most likely the 'beings from foreign worlds' is that because the human race as a whole is extremely volatile. Imagine if the informed came out with a full blown fact file disclosure...all hell would break loose, it would be pandemonium!
In saying that though, it does need to happen eventually. Perhaps they are slowly grooming the public by giving us the idea that its possible for there to be other life so that we aren't as surprised as if he had no idea.
Time will tell.

I think I'm starting to sound like a bit of a nutter.

I'm sure out there somewhere in the universe there are other species on other planets. But considering how long it has taken us to develop as a 'space faring' race and i use that term loosely, you have to assume that other species may not develop at the same rate, or even at all.

The chances of life out there is likely in my estimation, but there is also a very good chance that we will ever meet it.
